“Sometimes,” she wasn’t ALWAYS dependant on her for good ideas; just a majority of the time, her dragon would more or less point her in the right direction, “it was her idea to come walking in the tunnels this morning, I’d say that was a good idea,” no she would say it was great idea for where she ended up was defiantly a great difference to where she MIGHT be if she hadn’t. Lilly smiled at the idea of sharing ideas, she wished she had the same creativity of her dragon, but alas, she was normally more worried about not embarrassing herself, maybe, while she were around N’kar she would balance it out a little, “So, what kind of ideas does he come up with for you?”

She nodded to her growling, “Yes, growl, like a feline growls, its frustrating…” she paused a moment, blushing some but speaking up again “you should consider yourself lucky as well… I … um … don’t growl … at anyone… in fact … I’ve only ever done… it at Sirth…” she clung to him again afraid he might find her a little weird gripping his shirt and scrunching her face up and laying it against his chest, it was probably an over compensation, but she really didn’t want him to leave, secretly to herself that is.

Lilly held up a figure and grinned at him, “Good point, I suppose you could get fresh water crabs, but I don’t know if they live in the cold…” she thought for a moment, not recalling anything about them but it wasn’t an unbelievable thing, crabs were pretty resilient things. Lilly then giggled at N’kar playing with her as she pinched him smiling up at him rather amused with herself, “don’t worry, mum cooks them really well, it’s something to do with uncooked or not properly cooked, she will make them good though.” she grinned at him and pinched him lightly again. She nodded to him once more, she was glad he liked the idea of the trip there it would be something she could do and feel totally comfortable around her family and him, although the initial round of ‘awes’ from her family she was sure to get, would be embarrassing, but she could work around that.

Lilly sat there quietly for a while, quietly thinking about her dreams, wondering herself why the dragon had done that, they knew that she was overly curious, but she shouldn’t have done that theoretically, and Lilly couldn’t seem to look away as the dragon panicked and passed into the next world, fortunately the rider was more lucky, other saw it coming and grabbed her, well, if you could call it lucky, Lilly remembered the girl was not even close to the person she used to be before that, but at least she were alive, mixed blessing I suppose. Why? Lilly didn’t know, no one knew it was such a bizarre event that no one really knew what to say, “i-… I don’t know…” she sniffed again, thankful that her dragon was still there with her, people had told that losing your dragon was worse than death itself, the silence and pain unbearable, and that it’s actually a mercy to let the rider die with their dragon, but in the moment people don’t think about that. She suddenly felt a third presence to her mind, as what she imagined was Rhiunth popping in, it made her smile, knowing that dragons don’t normally go away from their riders mind, it made her smile, and almost forget that she had been thinking about the poor dragon that passed. She sniffed once more, and then looked up at N’kar with a half smile, “it was, but, let’s not talk about it, there and more happier things we can talk about don’t you think?” she smiled at him as she wiped away her own tear that had escaped. She paused after that looking over at her dragon and Rhiunth, and ‘hmmed’ to herself, “Would … you mind if we moved over, by them?” she looked over to their dragons again but still clinging to N’kar.

"At least someone's there to come up with the good ideas though, whoever they come from. I can't imagine life would be all that great if neither of you had good ideas." N'kar winked. Quite the contrary in fact. If one went through life with no good ideas, they probably wouldn't be a very happy person. At least, not that N'kar could imagine they would be. What fun would life be if you never had any good ideas? "I guess I'll have to thank Sirth for that then later when she wakes up." N'kar thought a moment of the ideas he dubbed 'good' that came from Rhiunth. "Most of his good ideas I think are the ones he comes up with when I get stuck in situations that I don't know what to do in. He's good at helping me through conversations at least." N'kar laughed distantly. Rhiunth had a way of making himself as much a part of N'kar's conversations as N'kar was when the dragon had nothing better to do. "He's not ALWAYS the one that comes up with that stuff though. I do have at least SOME ability to make it through a conversation without him... Like now, for instance."

Frustrating he could agree with, but Lilly's growl was funny, even cute in a way. He laughed. "In that case, I consider myself incredibly lucky! Does that make me a step below Sirth then?" He was joking, of course, and there was a laugh and a shake of the head along with it to assure her it was only a joke. The way Lilly clung to him was new and if it had been anyone else with their face against in his chest, N'kar might have felt really awkward. For whatever reason though, he was ok with Lilly doing it, and he didn't much care to identify the reason either.

He shook his head. There hadn't been freshwater crabs in any water near his old weyr. At least, none that he could remember. "If there were any crabs up there, no one must have cared for them much because I never heard of them being there." For that matter, Rhiunth hadn't said anything about seeing crabs either. That dragon spent a lot of time in the lakes back there, and when he was young he took particular interest in the fish. Scaring them, following them, trying to sneak up on them or catch them. Then again, the brown still did it sometimes so maybe he hadn't exactly grown out of that. "If that's the case then I could give it a try. It'll add to the whole 'new to the ocean' experience!" He laughed, all the while shooting a sideways look at Lilly as she pinched him again. As uncomfortable he would likely be meeting Lilly's family, he was sure that he would get along with them. Hopefully at least. They WERE her family afterall, so maybe it wasn't entirely far-fetched to think that he might get along with them.

Losing your dragon was not something to be thought lightly of, and N'kar knew that. Spending his whole life in the weyr, he grew up around dragons and riders, knew their stories, lived their lifestyle. And while he hadn't ever watched it head on, he was familiar with the keening dragonsong that meant the loss of one of their own. The sound alone was awful, and he was more than glad he hadn't ever had to watch it happen - to dragon or rider. Silently he thought about it, not feeling comfortable with breaking Lilly's thoughts, sad though they were. In all honesty, he didn't quite know what to say anyway. N'kar hadn't really expected Lilly to know the reason, but her answer was still hard to hear somehow. He was glad when Rhiunth touched his mind. Even though the dragon hadn't said anything, the feeling of him present in the conversation was good to feel. It brought a smile to his face, and moments after he saw Lilly's face pick up as well. It took him a moment to figure it out. Did you just...? But Rhiunth didn't answer. At least, he didn't answer in words. There was a low, barely audible noise coming from his direction and a smug look on his face that together answered the question for N'kar. It really surprised him, because as far as he knew, Rhiunth hadn't ever done that before. For a moment, the rider could only look slightly astonished in the brown's direction before he shook himself back to Lilly again. "No, not at all. That sounds like a great idea." He smiled, then stood slowly and went to help Lilly up so that they could move over to the dragons. The whole time though, he never let his hands leave her.

Lilly herself had only heard the voices of two dragons, Sirth (duh) and Xenth, the brown that had saved her life, technically he didn’t hear Rhiunths voice, but she knew he was there for a moment, and yet again it had brought that same feeling as Sirth does when she is fully paying attention to her rider. She had wondered if N’kar knew, or said anything to Rhi, but in the end it didn’t really matter, the moment with him was a good distraction, and an uplifting emotional moment. She held onto N’kars had as he stood up and lightly used it to get up as well, bouncing lightly to her feet, holding on with one had to him, she brushed the back of her shirt off, not that it really mattered it was probably going to get dusty again when they sat down, habit I suppose. She looked up to N’kar smiling as she had been for the longest time, and not even a sign of the tears she had shed moments ago, she looped her arm around his and started to walk towards her and his dragon. As she got close, she looked at N’kar smiling, and then trotted slightly ahead of N’kar, and made an attempt to hug Rhiunth, aiming for his neck but grabbing a hold to anything she could and whispering “thank you Rhiunth,” almost grinning to him, then taking a step back towards N’kar and grabbing a hold of his hand again, lightly pulling him in between their dragons heads, and setting herself down trying to stay out the way of their dragons but in a very very protective environment. Once N’kar had set next to her which she knew he would eventually she would move back onto his lap, and resume where they had left off, excluding the thinking about dragons dieing.

A smug look remained on Rhiunth's face as the pair of riders began to stand. The dragon was quite proud of himself. It was quite true that the dragon, curious and excited as he was and had ever been throughout his life, had never before touched the mind of a rider other than his own. This time hadn't required much deliberating before action, though. Rhiunth had been assured that Lilly liked him, and he was quite fond of Lilly himself. He figured she would appreciate his mental reassurance after her nightmare. The confused amzement of N'kar was merely an entertaining side effect. If anything, it was a strong wake up to the rider of what the dragon thought of Lilly, and just how far things had gotten in so little an interval of time. N'kar was more than glad to see Lilly smiling again though, whatever the reason. It was a stark contrast to her expression not long before, but it was a welcome change. He grinned widely at her as she looped her arm in his, and gladly he started off with her. N'kar raised an interested eyebrow when Lilly left his side and ran up to the dragons before him, but only laughing lightly to himself when she threw herself against Rhiunth in a hug. In response, Rhiunth lifted his head and nosed Lilly very gently in what could have been taken for a 'you're welcome' of sorts, eyes whirling bright, happy colors as he lay back down again. N'kar came up, laughing and shaking his head. He was led between the heads of their dragons by Lilly, but before he took a seat beside her he lay a thankful hand on Rhiunth. Turning back then, he sat beside Lilly. There was something that felt good about being so near the dragons, kind of boxed in by them. It was protective and reassuring. It almost made N'kar wonder why they hadn't moved over sooner.

Lilly did move onto N’kars lap again, sitting sideways to him as she had before, closing her eyes again and sighing happily, she hadn’t had such a great morning in the longest time, especially since arriving here at Galvalin, and for some time before that, especially because of her dream that woke her many night before, and caused her to be unable to sleep afterwards, it was a real issue some days as it effected how well she worked, and also made her look a little odd, she looked tired quiet often and her attention span could sometimes be very short, but if anyone ever asked she would shy away and not say anything to them.

Lilly sat there breathing quietly with eyes closed and quiet happy to let the seconds of the day tick by thinking to herself about how nice it would be to nap in this incredible safety, she didn’t have anything to do today, so maybe if N’kar would agree she could try the napping thing again. “Would, you mind if, I napped, o-or at least … tried to … again?” she clutched to him slightly more then she had, before hoping he would.

Not a muscle did N'kar move in protest as Lilly resumed her spot on his lap, and as she settled in the rider couldn't help but smile to himself. By now, he wasn't quite entirely sure he knew how they had ended up this way in the first place, but he was far from arguing against it. Would he have had an opportunity anything like this if he had chosen not to transfer to Galvalin? It probably wasn't very likely. And why should he dwell on this? Did it really matter what would have happened? Shaking his head, N'kar removed the thought from his mind. He was here, as was Lilly, and as far as he could tell it would stay this way for quite some time more. He was grateful for that fact, and it was enough to keep him from thinking anything else for the time being.

N'kar was propped up on one arm now, his other resting lightly, maybe even a little protectively though he might deny that part if anyone asked, on Lilly's shoulder. His own eyes were closed as well, though he didn't really think he would fall asleep himself. When Lilly asked if she could try napping again, N'kar had no problem with it. Hopefully being around the dragons would help her sleep better, at least that was his thought. Leaning forward, he lightly rested his head on hers. "Not at all. You go ahead and nap. Rhiunth and I are here." Because the brownrider was TOTALLY only doing this because it was a kind, gentlemanly thing to do... Sure... THAT'S the only reason... It had nothing to do with the fact that he was enjoying this morning as much as Lilly. Nope, not at all.

It might seem a little silly to anyone, but hearing that N’kar and Rhiunth were there, made it seem all that more comfortable, and it really did, Lilly sighed happily at the comfort she found in it. She wasn’t thinking of it but she was in the same position as N’kar, chances are if she hadn’t come to Galvalin as well she would probably be, alone, and without N’kar and Rhiunth now, things really couldn’t get much better at the moment.

Lilly nuzzled against her pillow lightly as she started to drift off into her sleep, joining her dragon in a very happy sleep, she breathed lightly as you tend to do while sleeping, she was also smiling, something which she really didn’t do enough of anymore, but today had seen a lot of that expression. Especially once N’kar had told her it was ok to nap again, or try to. As she drifted off into her happy sleep, a quiet “thank you,” came from the small girl, she was incredibly grateful that he and Rhiunth were there with her now, she suspected this would be the best rest she had had in a long while, and she was going to exploit it if she could, hopefully without making it too obvious.

As Lilly began drifting into sleep, N'kar found himself smiling contentedly to himself. In honesty, he didn't mind at all that Lilly wanted to nap with him there. In fact, he found it to be a rather pleasant change for someone to be so comfortable around him, and the other way around. With her breathing slowing now the brownrider found that the sleep he hadn't been aware of only moments before was starting to tug on the edges of his mind. He fought off a yawn, his thoughts rerunning everything that had happened this morning beggining with his stumble in the caves. It had been one crazy morning, but thinking back on it now he was glad it had happened.

Another yawn from N'kar, and Rhiunth lifted his head to look at his rider. The dragon was still completely awake. There was no way he was napping anytime soon.
'Go ahead N'kar Mine, you're fine. I can keep an eye on you both just fine.'
N'kar laughed, looking up at the dragon. I'm fine, Rhiunth. You have someone else to look after now. I can stay awake.
At that, Rhiunth chuckled at his rider. He didn't doubt N'kar would stay awake as long as Lilly slept there, tired or not. That was just how he was. He said he would watch over her, and that was exactly what he would do. 'Even so, I'm still here should you find yourself unable to keep your eyes open.' The brown was incredibly proud of his rider today. He had accomplished a lot.
