The afternoon light filtered through the many entrances and exits of the Weyrbowl, little shadows flickering as large dragon bodies entered or left or simply just flew past one of them. There was the sound of flowing water and the taste of sea salt in the air. The noises in the background melded into a soft lull that barely existed in the back of one's head and it was the sort of situation in which one relaxed in when off duty with nothing else to do. To the extent of falling asleep even it seems. Upon the rocky surface of the lake side that flowed through and into the rest of the tunnels, a light blue dragon stretched out upon his belly, wings unfurling and folding only to repeat the process all over again. The Blue's eyes whirled a slow contented green as it watched as another dragon flew upwards and skimmed the ceiling of the large cavern. Resting against his side, dark brown hair and quite unaware of the rest of the world, his rider dozed off. Maybe she was dreaming, maybe she wasn't. Unlike the other two female riders with male dragons, this particular rider was unmistakably female. The other two was mistaken as male often times enough, especially one particular rider, but there was hardly any way to look at this Bluerider and call her a male. She laid upon her back, inclined against her dragon's side her light clothing blending well with the color of her dragon's hide. The two of them seemed to be simply just resting now. One watching the others frolic about and the other taking a nap right out here in the Weyrbowl. |

One of the dragons that might have flown past Ael was probably Faith, at the time Kiera was supposed to be doing work, and she was, honestly! But Faith had managed to point out that Zygeth had been in the Weyr bowl sitting there, they came to the conclusion it wasn’t fair that they were working and Ael and Zygeth were sleeping, something had to be done! Once they had a chance to slink off, Faith brought them into the Weyr bowl far enough away so that they wouldn’t be noticed, ‘Ok you go and distract Zygeth while I sneak up on Ael,’ ‘How do you suppose I distract him without alerting his,’ ’I don’t know, you’re a female, and he’s a male, use your feminine charm,’ , Even Kiera had to laugh lightly at the thought of that; her dragon could only huff at her in retort. Faith started to make her way across the bowl, Kiera would use her as a block from Zygeth, until they were close enough. Good day to you Zygeth, you seem to be enjoying some time off this morning , Faith strolled around the side of Zygeth that Ael was not led on, while Kiera snuck over to Ael, the plan was to go and flop down in Aels lap, at least that was she was trying for, “OH MY GOSH ITS AN AEEELLLLL!!!”, she went to flop as soft as she could on ael without hurting her. A lot of things could happen in the past couple of months since they had first came here to Galvalin. Since the jump, Zygeth had made a friend and so had his rider. Blinking lazily as Faith came to his side, he nodded his head slightly. There was a slow reply that yes, he was enjoying his time off, having just finished his work. He didn't seem to react as Kiera shouted out, landing quite neatly onto his bonded outside of that amused rumbling in his chest. As for Aelae, she had been in a peaceful doze one moment, and then she had a lap full of Greenrider the next. An eyebrow went up into her hairline as she instinctively wrapped an arm about Keira's waist and started tapping her fingers in the way she did everything else she had her hands on. "Well now," she drawled out, "What's this we have here?" Fingers seeking out the sensitive sides and pressing in, the Bluerider tickled her companion slightly as she chuckled. "Kiera, much as I enjoy you topping, you're going to break me if you stay on me too long." The rather sexual meaning of her words was clearly there, a light teasing and flirting that was so common and normal for Aelae. |

Kiera giggled as she was tickled, struggling lightly against it. “no stop! That’s not fair, tickling is like a sort of cheating!” kiera tried to grab Aels arms making her stop. “Wait, are you calling me fat!”, she knew that Ael was flirting with her, it was just her way, after a few seconds, she turned to face her again, “because that’s not what you said last time…” she grinned at her, tongue stuck out just slightly. She wasn’t quite ready to move yet, she knew she wasn’t ‘that’ heavy, so she was going to ignore Ael comment about her breaking, instead, she tried to warp her arms around her, she really enjoyed hugs so she was going to try and snuggle Ael for a moment. “What are you doing down here sleeping? I still have work that needs doing, it’s not really fair that you’re down here sleeping, and I’m all working.” Faith mentally cough though Kieras mind, she looked up towards the huffing beats, “Correction, were still working.” She rested her head upon her shoulder wait for Aels answer. Faith had slinked up beside Zygeth, chuckling at his sleepiness, ’ Sorry to disturb you dear, do you mind if I lay with you a while? I’m sure we won’t be here long as we still have work to do’, Faith was typically a social dragon, but she more so enjoyed Zygeth, since his arrive she had flown once, and after being caught she really had a soft spot for him. Eyes darting up and down Kiera's figure, her tongue wetting her lips, "Hm. No, not fat... Not at all." She chuckled slightly then, allowing the Greenrider to get closer to herself. There was a slight shrugging of her shoulders as she leaned back against Zygeth once more, her hand still resting upon the Greenrider's hip as she closed her eyes. "Me? Sleeping? Yeah. I guess I was sort of taking a nap there wasn't I?" She cracked an eye open then, a leer across her face, "As for what I'm doing... eh..." This was followed by a chuckle as she turned serious once again, her other hand tapping upon the ground, "I got my work done already, so I was taking a break. really." Zygeth rumbled softly, replying that he didn't mind at all. In fact, Faith and hers could stay as long as they wanted, or could. He arched his neck to bring his head over, nuzzling the Green's neck and then stretching his forepaws out in front of him very much like a feline. Then, he settled back down, jaws opened in a yawn before he blinked lazily. It's a beautiful day is it not? As much as it can get around here, spring will come soon, without a doubt. As soon as winter lets go of her hold on us. |

Sleeping would be really nice, it was nice inside the Weyr, in Kieras opinion taking a nap here would be really nice, and as much as she wanted to she was afraid that it get her into trouble. Kiera huffed lightly, “it must be nice getting work done so early, I guess oversleeping this morning set me back quite a bit”. Mornings really hadn’t been Kieras forte, she would often over sleep because she couldn’t fall asleep in an evening, and would often lay there wondering about different things. To Kiera, Ael was a very interesting character, she was allegedly from another time, she was a female riding a blue, and she herself was just curious, ever since they had arrived, the timers, she had wanted to meet one and talk with them, they seemed to hold an aura around themselves as well that was rather curious. “Ael, what was it like where you came from? Was it much different then here?” it’s a question almost everyone would want to know, what Perns future holds, she wanted to know if they would forever be stuck fighting against an insentient enemy, and would they ever know peace. Faith watched as Zygeth seemed to be between awake and sleep, the limbo that most love, but rarely get to enjoy. After letting him settle back down she also sat down beside the him, ‘yes you are correct dear, I cannot wait for it either, maybe you should rest some more though, it will come quicker then the second half of her comment was in a semi-chuckling tone, she wouldn’t mind if he fell back to sleep, she was happy to be back with one she had risen with. |

Aelae's eye cracked open, her fingers tapping upon the ground still. There was a soft questioning 'hm' before she opened both eyes and arched an eyebrow. "The other time? No Threat, that was a large difference there... There were Weyrholds as well though, and a whole lot more arguing..." Her eyes slipped closed again, her arms moving behind her head as she thought back to that time. "Holds tended to argue a lot. Lord Holders always arguing over who was best at what, and if there's nothing upon that point to argue about they'll start to compare their family members. It was always... who's dragon was larger in that term of speaking." She took a deep breath then, "Weyrholds often get dragged in. Weyrs themselves get dragged in. It's peaceful in a way of speaking, but also a lot more violent in that always pressing matter." Her eyes opened again, fixing upon Kiera, "I think... that's just the way we are. We can never live in complete peace I guess." Zygeth rumbled slightly, his eyes closed as he simply just laid there. He spoke gently, a low rumbling in the mind. The spring would come soon enough, and the winds will change. They'll go flying again and they'll scope out the lands in which they would protect now. Now, wasn't that going to be fun? |

Kiera listened with optimistic interest, but by the time she was finished, she had a semi-smile on her lips, at least they would be rid of Thread eventually, which meant that her Faith would one day be safe. And as Ael moved her arms away Kiera reached up and tried to pull her arm back down to hug her. “yeah, I suppose you’re right, as long as there are two people that have differing opinions, there will be arguing and bickering, but at least Thread will be gone, it will make me happy knowing that one day it won’t be something we have to worry about.” Kiera held on, squeezing lightly on Ael, finding a little comfort in her closeness to her. She sat thinking about different things for a bit, but peered, over at Zygeth, knowing Faith was on the other side, she reached up to Aels ear and whispered to her “do you think our dragons are mates?!”, Kiera said it with a rather enthusiastic tone, she wouldn’t mind Faith being mates with Zygeth, she really liked the blue and his rider, and really hoped Faith and Zygeth would be together, she seemed so contently happy around him. |

"Hm. Perhaps. You're right about not having to worry about Thread, but the fighting is something just as worrying I suppose. It always turns wrong when things get... physical," Aelae sighed slightly, shaking her head. "Well, there always seems to be trouble brewing somewhere though, so I suppose that's that." She lenaed back against Zygeth, arching an eyebrow slightly as Kiera spoke. Mates? Now, she hadn't thought about that. She turned her attention inwards, prodding at Zygeth's mind. The Blue responded with a gentle nudge back and an outward rumble that sent vibrations down her back. She chuckled at the sound, shaking her head, "I don't know. They could be. I can't ask him either, he's falling asleep on me right now." Her fingers tapped upon the ground, creating some unknown tune then, "Why ask that though?" |

"If there isn’t thread anymore, is there really need for Weyrs then, basically we are here to have some sort of organization against thread, like a military, you know? If thread was gone wouldn’t that defeat the point?” Kiera clinged onto her friend, holding onto a ruffle in her shirt, eyes closed and head led against her shoulder. Kiera smiled at Zygeth rumble, taking a guess that Ael had done what she did, and then a small ‘’aww’’, “if he’s falling asleep let him be, as for why, if they were, that meant we would end up seeing each other more … urrr … intimately” the green riding blushing slightly at the thought. “I think I’d rather wake up after that with you them most anyone else in the Weyr,” her words weren’t in a flirting way, but they were serious, she felt comfortable around Ael, at this time thought she didn’t have intimate feelings for her though, “I was also curious as to what you would think if they were?”. Aelae groaned at this point, something that sounded almost pained, "Fighting. That's where it all falls down into in the end. There was a huge argument between Holds and Weyrs, as well as Weyrholds about why dragonriders were still around. Some Holds didn't like it, others wanted to use us as a basic work force. Some think we should just be left alone because Weyrholds already function by themselves as is, just like any other Hold." The Bluerider sighed deeply, her other hand moving now to rest upon Kiera's other side, sliding down to stop at the Greenrider's hip. "The problem," she spoke softly, "is when they expect us to start fighting for or against them. It's all quite troublesome." She looked up at the two dragons then, Zygeth now completely asleep. There was an arch of her eyebrow then as she pressed a slight pressure into Kiera's sides. "Oh? Be careful now Kiera. I might end up there even outside of flights." Her tone was flirty and she knew it. She couldn't help but tease her friend after all, "Then again, you probably wouldn't mind that too badly." A chuckle drew out from her chest then as she shook her head slightly, "Dragons are dragons Kiera. If they aren't mates, they're probably close to it. Very good friends at the very least, if not more." |

“bah people are stupid, maybe they would, maybe be GREATFULL for the centuries of sacrifice that they gave to keep people safe, who cares if there useful, I’m sure something could be worked out diplomatically”, Kiera hissed meanly, she hated how idiotic people could become, and how they might take things for granted, “hmm I think that the dragons and riders themselves should be able to choose what they want to do, if it wasn’t for them the world would be more then dead.” Maybe she didn’t want to know about the future anymore. Kiera nuzzled against Ael as she held her, she wasn’t going to comment on it anymore, she was trying to enjoy the comfort of being next to Ael and being hugged. Kiera mentally paused for a second, wondering if she would enjoy her coming to see her more often, at the very least she had someone who was very attractive wanting to come and stalk her room. She concluded she wouldn’t mind after all, Ael was probably one of the few people she minded being more then close to. She chuckled quietly, “hmm being carful around you doesn’t help me Ael, you’ll do it if you really want to anyways, and even if I opposed to it, which, I’m not, you would still end up there. And no I wouldn’t your right; I don’t mind your company, in more ways than one.” She bashfully admitted the last part of her statement. Kiera mumbled one last thing, but with her being so close to Aels head and ears she would hear her. “Hmm I hope they are.” Kiera sat there still holding onto the bluerider a smile upon her lips and eyes shut head on her shoulder quietly enjoying sneaking off of work. |

Aelae chuckled deep within her throat at Kiera's confession, her eyes slipping shut once more as she humming rather tunelessly within her throat and chest. Her fingers were tapping lightly upon the Greenrider's sides now, always needing something to do per usual. "Yes well. I suppose so..." she drawled out. Then she shrugged ever so slightly, "I suppose Faith doesn't know either? Not that surprising, it's only been one flight." Her tones were slightly teasing as she then cracked open an eye, eyebrow arched. "Speaking of Faith... aren't you two supposed be working right about now?" And as if in response to that, Zygeth responded in his light sleep, a low amused rumble within his chest. It seems the Blue was quite in tune with his rider really, his tail twitching slightly before he fell back into the stillness of sleep. |

Kiera shrugged agreeing somewhat with Ael, it might be silly to assume they were after only one fight. But really the two dragons had been acting silly around each other like they were, so why not just say they were? “yeah, I suppose your right, but you know they get all silly and act all googly when there together … I think they are…” Kiera giggled as Zygeth rumbled at Ael, she figured he was far too happy having Faith there with him, and didn’t want her to leave. Kiera scowled at Ael though after her giggle, sitting upright and patting her chest trying to act mad, “Gah! You trying to get me to leave! Cuz I will, if you don’t want me here!”, kiera crossed her arms and was still trying to hold a grumpy face, but a half smirk was apparent on her face as well, sure she was SUPPOSED to be working, didn’t mean she was going to she had only been away for a few minutes… |

An eyebrow went up to her hairline at Kiera's statement. Googly and silly? Her head turned slightly, catching the sight of the light blue hues of her bonded's hide. Well, not that the Greenrider mentioned it, perhaps so. Still, Zygeth was a laid back sort of dragon, so it really wasn't that out of character for him perhaps, not that she's paid much mind to his courtships of females. She had never seen the actual need to. Teasing though her Blue was about her own relationships, he had never actually interfered before, and so she paid the same courtesy to his relationships. She shrugged then, "Well, we'll just have to wait and see then won't we?" Her other eyebrow went up to join the first as she chuckled, "Oh? You can actually tear yourself away from my ever charming person?" The mock startled tone clear in her voice she tickled Kiera's sides lightly, laughing for a moment before grinning fully at her companion. "So you do admit that you're hiding from your work though, isn't that right? Bad Kiera. You know what that means?" Her tone dropped, a leer across her features, "that means you'll have to be punished Kiera." |

Waiting, one of the things Kiera didn’t seem to do so well at, but she really didn’t have much choice in this one, she would HAVE to wait to see what their dragons did. What was she supposed to do in the mean time, she sure was curious to know what Faith and Zygeth would get up too, and she wondered if now would be a good time to clean her room, in case she had another unexpected visit from Ael. Kiera let out a sad sigh, obviously sad that she would HAVE to wait, bugger! “Yeah, I guess we will.” Another sigh before returning to the snuggle mode Kiera. “No Ael its not, ‘can I tear myself away’ its, can you let me go?” she teased playfully, she expected a reaction from Ael this time, she was pretty much waiting on it. She struggled against Aels ticking “Shardit! Why do you tickle me so, its not fair!” she wriggle and squirmed a bit trying to grab the Blueriders arms. Kiera scoffed Aels comment about her skipping work, she wasn’t, skipping for say, she was just procrastinating on it, and besides her dragon was unresponsive, “Punish me!? How do ’you intend to punish me!” was that really a wise idea Kiear, it’s almost like holding a stake in front of a lions mouth and sitting there going ‘no don’t eat the stake kittykittykitty’. |

“Patience, Kiera,” Aelae drawled out, leaning back against her Blue, “has it’s purposes. We’ll find out sooner or later my friend, so take it easy and don’t push the matter I suppose.” And then, the Bluerider grinned, prodding the smaller rider in her stomach before laughing in a low tone. “Bad bad Kiera.” And in response to that ever so helpful bait, the Bluerider splayed out her hands, that smirk spreading across her features that proved that she was up to something. She let out a ‘hmp’ as she then watched Kiera through her lashes, grinning, “Remember… you asked for it.” And if just now wasn’t bad enough, the Bluerider tickled her companion. Fingers working into the Greenrider’s sides. |

Bad? Kiera was NEVER bad, well most of the time, and patients wasn’t something she was incredibly good at; she always seemed to want things right now. “How did you come up with me being bad? I haven’t done anything… yet?” Kiera had to admit that she was a little confused, she wasn’t really sure WHY Ael had told her she was bad, maybe it wasn’t a good idea to find out though, knowing Ael. Kiera wriggled as she was tickled by Ael, attempting to grab her arms as she did. After gasping for a moment of reprieve she looked at Ael and scowled slightly, “I, guess I did, but that doesn’t mean you have to be so cruel about it.” She pouted a little before Ael returned to her prodding, curse her ticklishness. |

"And that's just it isn't it?" Aelae drawled out, "You aren't doing anything. You're supposed to be working... And if you call this cruel." She stopped, a wide grin across her features, "Well, you're just a little wimp aren't you?" Another gentle prod before she leaned back into Zygeth, the Blue letting out a rumble in his sleep in a reaction that seemed so instilled into him that he would simply carry it out even when not aware of the world. "Ah," Aelae drawled out, "Speaking of which. If you go do your work, we can go and meet up some other time eh? Perhaps when you're not on some sort of duty eh?" |
