Figured we could use this for non-Gundam related stuff.

Watching the new HxH, mostly to see how much they'll censor, and it seems it'll be a fair amount going by the third episode. Otherwise, the adaptation is pretty solid so far. It's odd seeing the series not being drawn with a bunch of squibbles.

I'm also watching Fate/Zero. It's really good so far, but this is my first dive into the Fate universe, so I don't know everything that's going to happen. Maybe that's a good thing, even if it means I'll miss a lot of inside stuff type-moon veterans would pick up on.

Have at it.

In my opinion, you should really dive into Fate Stay Night first even if Zero is a prequel. You can then see the dozens and dozens of references easier in Fate Zero. But you shouldn't have too much trouble. I don't know the full ongoings of what happened in the Zero novels but some might be spoilers for Stay Night later on.

But the Fate Stay Night visual novel is always the best narrative rather than the Fate Stay Night anime I reckon. The narrative and complex magical explanations there are amazing that sometimes you feel like the sex scenes are out of place; which the Fate universe really grew out from in the anime adaptations and the family friendly PS2 Reality Nua versions omitted and softified

Right now I'm watching

Ika Musume S2. So far it's been a blast, and it's one of those rare times when the 2nd season might just beat it's 1st season.

Horizon in the middle of Nowhere. I'm enjoying it, but the fact that it has so much material yet it's only getting a 12 episode run is a huge let down. Hell, it skipped the entire 1st series from what I hear. It's also disappointing the the best character/the main character only gets like 5 minutes of screen time every episode. The cast is just way too big.

Guilty Crown: Only 2 episode are out so it's hard to make an opinion yet. They've also not really explained exactly what the political situation is in the world all too well. The 1st episode appealed to me though so I'm going to stick with it.

Ben-To!: One of those surprise series this seasons that showed up out of nowhere on my list.

Gintama': Show of the season, all seasons!....Because it never goes away. >.>

Persona 4: I never really got too far into the game, I stopped at maybe the 10% mark, it it's nice to finally see things play out. Also lol that it's instantly taken over the blu ray/DVD sales charts.

Mawaru Penguindrum: Carrying over from last season. I was surprised that it's actually going a full 25 episodes. Pretty rare in this day and age to get over 12.

Suite Precure:......*Runs*

Oh, there will be huge spoilers for F/SN later on.

I'm not really watching anything currently. There is stuff that interests me (Fate/Zero, Ika Musume, etc) but I'm finding it hard to work up the effort to actually do so.

^I remember reading some Wikipedia articles on some novel contents some years but that's about it.

Some moments in SN won't be as surprising if you watch Zero first, thus it's better to watch SN first. I guess it's one of those things designed for people who've watched SN. I really suggest marathoning the TV series which follows the Fate route and after that the movie which follows the alternate (and in my opinion, cooler) Unlimited Blade Works route.

And I guess if you ever fall deeply in love with FSN anime, get the game and the English fan translation patch. Not to be missed for any FSN fan I assure you.

Good thing I managed to watch FSN and Unlimited Blade Works beforehand. Having the knowledge just amplifies the experience of Fate/Zero. ...which, by the way, the fourth episode blew me away, it was so awesome.

Guilty Crown seems to have gotten off to a pretty good start. It has great potential, methinks. Mirai Nikki is also pretty interesting.

Also, anyone checked out C³? First episode is, admittedly, off-putting, but the show does a 180 in the second half of episode 2 and turns...well, you'll have to see XD

I plan to watch Gulty Crown soon, and I guess I'll check out some of your other recommendations.

Its been awhile since I've watched "current" anime. New Gundam series always seems to bring the "current anime" side with me for some reason.

Recently started Last Exile: Fam, the Silver Wing.

Overall I already loved it with the 1st episode alone. It looks great, but unlike the original that took a while, this series started off right away.

Also Guilty Crown 3 was alright, but nothing really major aside from using the void ability as a gag power. Though even the director himself said that it's not really going to get good until episode 4-6+. (it's 26 total so they're getting introductions out of the way 1st)

Mawaru Penguindrum still seems to be awkward as hell, but still entertaining none the less.

Horizon in the middle of Nowhere. Ep.1 was amusing, 2 was so so, and 3 was meh. But holy hell ep.4 was awesome. As the plot finally started moving. The Doll vs the Testament mech was awesome as well.

I just wish they'd speed things up a bit.

1st episode: Toori: DERP! TOMORROW I'M GOING TO ASK HER OUT!!!
Episode 4: Still not that damn day

I was actually surprised that it's even 26 episodes since everything and it's mother these past 5 years or so have just been 12-13 episodes. Especially anything based on a light novel that's not Index.

Also randomly, I hate this new 10 bit or 10 whatever encoding method some people are using now. My 8+ year old machine pretty much dies and lags like all hell when using it, and after a while the audio and video are entirely out of sync. =/

Still need to watch the Frontier movies to boot. Heard the 2nd was just awesome, and also ODST EX-Gear troopers or something. But.....;__;

Watched it. Overall it was enjoyable more than the series was, and action was a lot better. And some how Ranka is no longer as annoying. She has a lot more song now though that aren't just re recordings of everyone elses.

Not sure how I felt about Brera and a certain Snipers death changed. I guess it's all right since I liked Klan and she gets a happier ending. (Didn't one of her squad also get killed in the series?). That is assuming that it ended up having some change to it all with him coming to terms with her being a loli her they pull something out of left field curing her genetic defect. (Which I'm pretty sure genetics can't be "Cure". >.>

With a few more episodes from each so, so far my current standings for each show (not counting comedy shows)is basically

Tied for 1st: Last Exile, Fam the Silver Wing. and Horizon in the middle of Nowhere. Exile just took me by surprise. I liked the 1st, but that one took a while for me to enjoy it. Fam just started off awesome. Also Dio, etc.

Horizon, well it took a while, but as mentioned DAT Doll vs Testament.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGyrCvPOu2I

3rd: Gundam AGE: So far I'm not THAT amazed by it....At least I wasn't till Episode 4. Woolf just single handedly saved the entire show for me. Emily on the other hand I'm disliking more and more as it goes on. She doesn't seem to view these things from Flit's POV.

4: Guilty Crown: I loving the art style, but they really need start talking more about the plot and background on what's happening. At least they talked about the power, though it turned into a gag. Also the main character ruins it a lot for me. Especially when the Scooge from Lost Christmas is already looking to be a much better lead.

5: Mirai Nikki

6: Fate//Zero

Comedy wise
1: Ika Musume S2
2:Mawaru Penguindrum
3: iDOLM@STER

Problem with IM is that there's usually only 2-3 of the characters that you actually care for, and the rest just take up screen time.

An interview that was made shortly before release.

for space

It's kind of ironic that so much of Klan made it into the interview, along with Mihael surviving. Since I decided to watch the 1st one and, In the entire 3-4 hours of both movies combined, there is almost no real relationship or interaction between them at all. Klan barely talked, and they had maybe 3 minutes worth of scenes together in both movies total.

>Ookawa Tooru [Ship captain Jeffrey Wilder]
2. Even though it's impossible, I'd like to pilot a fighter! Captain Jeffery MUST have flown when he was younger, right?

Kawamori: Determining from age, Captain Jeffery could have fought in the first galaxy wars!

Yoshino: He'd be able to ride the VF-1 then! The one in Mihoshi Gakuen!

It has Homura with her post series bow and QB, so I'm hoping for a sequel of some sort. But then again NT images are usually all just for show. =/

If it's based on the series, I'd rather they then just try to make it completely different for the sake of entertainment.

I was partial to the one where we saw Mami instantly turn into a b****.

Currently testing out Unicorn OST 2.

Track 3, "More..." is one i've been wanting since the very 1st OVA. It's the violin/piano version of Unicorn that played when Cardias registered Banana-G as the pilot.

Track 4: "Mad-NUG" is easily the best track of all. (The one that played in the end fight after Deguza got killed in 3)

Can't say I really cared for the rest since they were all pretty meh or just remixes of the older BGMs.

Dear lord, it was a 12 episode series, what is the point of *two* recap movies?

It reminds me of the unneeded GL movies all over again... hopefully the third one'll be worthwhile, at least.

It's ok, you don't have to worry about it. I found a torrent this morning, actually ^^; the soundtrack is pretty awesome. Especially that remix of "MOBILE SUIT" and "MAD-NUG"

Hey, isn't "REMIND YOU" the song they used in the very first (short) trailer for episode 4?

This. The show's been great fun so far; hell, it certainly moved its plot forward faster than Fate/Stay Night ever did.

The only real complaints I've had so far are how you really need to play/watch F/SN before this; Zero explains a lot about itself but not really everything essential, and it mercilessly spoils major plot points for F/SN. Also I pretty much know how this show is going since I spoiled myself silly on the novels, but I only have myself to blame.

Oh, and little Rin did not need a whole episode to herself, though the Kariya scene was a nice touch.

As a Tsukihime fan myself, I'm not sure what there'd be to be bitter about. Shiki can totally kill Servants after all. </troll mode>

Gintoki, Koutetsu, AND Okabe? For once I'm completely content with the male side. Even if Ledouche is still there for some reason.

But ALL FIVE Madoka girls? Really japan? Homerun I can understand, in fact I CAN'T understand why she's not 1. And Madoka is believable as well.

Finally got around to watching Fate/Zero today. Rin's needless episode aside I've really enjoyed it, particularly episode 11 and the Gate of Booze. The show's loving attention to detail in the particularly gruesome sequences is somewhat....worrisome, however.

I would like to see more of Berserker though; he and his primary Noble Phantasm are my favorite of the bunch and I'm eager to see the animated versions of his later scenes.

Not sure what that is exactly, but the version I got from CZ does have voices for most of the conversations. (Just not internal monologues and when they're talking to themselves)

As long as it's not Clannad long. Last I heard that things reaches almost 300 hours to do all routs.

I like what little they've shown of the new main mech. (I'll assume it's another Nirvash type). Though the colors remind me of Tiger from Tiger and Bunny.

Also wondering what direction they're going with since the last Nirvash never really had any weapons, (aside from magical ass pulling) and the whole thing with it/Renton/Eureka was more of a pacifist route. This one flat out has beam rifle. Also in that as far as I could tell, Trapper essentially no longer existed on the planet since it reverted back to earth, so I'm also wondering how they'll handle the reffing stuff.

Also thought that the kid there was one of Renton and Eureka's kids they showed on the final DVD cover that takes place post series, but he doesn't match either.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l139/Zerouette/Mecha/Eureka%20seveN/dvd13.jpg

Though he's still clearly a male Eureka.

So, just finished off Gundam ZZ. (Spoilers ahead?)

Admittedly, during the first bit I was thinking it was as bad as everyone made it out to be (altough I had also heard it got better later on). Ugh, I just wanted to throw something at the characters.

I believe the "turn for the better" point might occur for most people when they land on Earth/the OP song changes, but I think for me it was when Elpeo Puru (or Ple, whatever) first showed up. >.>

Either way, I was satisfied with the final half of the series. As I said earlier, it got much better after a point, but I really got into it after the colony drop (hell, I marathoned the last seven episodes today, because I'm a loser who is alone on Christmas lol).

But, factoring in the first dozen episodes... I'd give it overall a 7/10.

After I clean some series out of my backlog (Cowboy Bebop/Noir/Rosario+Vampire), I'll be getting started on Victory. ...perhaps I should say "wish me luck" in watching it and getting through it?
