We're on the verge of episode 4's online release, but we have some details on the next episode:
http://gundamguy.blogspot.com/2011/11/gundam-uc-episode-5-promo-image.html

"The Black Unicorn" is set for a May release, and the promo image depicts the Rozen Zulu, Ankusha, and the anime's redesign of the Banshee.

Let's use this as a hub for new information, pictures, and videos as we count down to episode 5's airing.

Seems the director confirmed in a magazine that the OVA will in fact change and end differently from the original Novel's.

I'm hoping the Marida part changes. >.>

I guess they just want to get it over and done with as per schedule and get Origin started. Of course, we should expect a 6 month lead time from May to get episode 6.

That's just trolls. No one knows at all what the changes are. All we know is that it has to have an original ending since the planned 6 OVAs would only cover up to Novel 8 of they wanted to stick with it.

Lies, the OVA since the beginning was planned to have all 10 novel volumes in 6 60 min OVAs.

Whoever thought up that claw needs to have their head examined. It looks like some sort of hideous growth.

Given what I've read about the original novels, a different ending can only be a good thing, doubly so on Marida's end.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Episode 5: 'The Black Unicorn'
Theatrical Release Date: May 19th 2012
Blu-Ray & DVD Release Date: Jun 8th 2012

Hey, the BD/DVD release is three days before my birthday. How nice of them.

EDIT: Summary

Quote:

Banagher is attacked by the black mobile suit Banshee, and taken into custody. Backed into a corner, he still continues to conceal the new coordinates leading to Laplace's Box which were revealed by the Unicorn Gundam. Bright, the commander of the Londo Bell, sees in Banagher the dignity and possibility shown by generations of Gundam pilots, and he finds help from old firends he once fought beside.

Meanwhile, Mineva has been handed over from Ronan to Martha, and she is transferred to the giant transport plane Garuda as a pawn to make Banagher talk. The conflict surrounding the Box soars to a high altitude and, finally, back into space...

Since I know what's going to happen according to the novel, this OVA is certainly going to be better than OVA 4. It all rests on the pace and the fight choreography. MS wise we'll get Banshee and Ankusha action, the Rozen Zulu won't probably get to fight in this one. Character wise it's going to have some nice interaction between many people. We'll also know if they will cut
Spoiler: click to toggle

Aren't they going to announce if the last OVA will be longer or we'll get a movie to conclude the story?

My bet for the surprise MS: Zeta Plus A with smartgun aboard the Garuda.

Hoping for a episode 0 based on the new novel B-)

A good laugh?

I suppose more deviation from the novels to set up the alleged new ending or w/e ep 6 is supposed to be. Lord knows it needs it.

Looks like it might be the best episode so far. As for the music, it took a few listenings but the song is growing on me now.

...was that Kai at 00:15?

Episode 5 was put up for pre-order on Amazon. The $128 pricetag is pretty insane, even for Bandai.

It's now avaliable for pre-order on RightStuf also, at a much nicer price ($47.99) than that jacked-up Amazon one x.x
