The Flight Mode still not that beautiful, but I have to admit its growing on me. The ones on the HG scans recently however can look much much better than this lineart though. |

I have to wonder if this will be the only Wear variation for AGE-2. We haven't heard of any more, the OP only seems designed for Double Bullet and solicitations for AGE-3 have already been shown to retailers. It's not unheard of for them to pull a last minute surprise but it looks doubtful we'll get more variation in this era. Did Flit's Wears not sell? |

I doubt its related to Flit's sales even if it turns out to be the case, since they were willing to to put two wears for the AGE-3. Glass half full speculation here but maybe they just thought they didnt have enough screentime for what they were planning to put in Gen 2 and decided to just keep it at two wears? Anything is possible but I reckon there's going to be no new wears for AGE-2 at this stage, given how they're usually revealed prior to the chapter's airing. Edited by SonicSP, Feb 29 2012, 09:44 PM.

I'm still hoping they'd surprise us with something like a mobile armor type of wear. |

A third Wear for the AGE-2 seems unlikely, but it certainly isn't impossible. They've kept stuff secret before even while revealing other major details; there were rumors, but I recall the Akatsuki being kept under wraps right up until it debuted even while they were advertising SF and IJ. I'm kind of interested to see the circumstances of the Double Bullet's creation. It is apparently conceived for a specific battlefield situation (one vs many) unlike the AGE-1's Wear being tailored to counter specific enemy types. Will we see the AGE-2 overwhelmed through sheer numbers by Dorado? Also, the AG boxart: http://i.imgur.com/07GtZ.jpg |

Nice boxart. Pre-emptive design sounds seems nicer than a deisgn tailored for a specific enemy. But I really won't be surprised if its a response to something, possibly a situation. Still waiting for that big old war to happen, and maybe when big conflicts does happen the DB will be made. |

The kit releases aren't a perfect indicator of onscreen appearance, but it is worth considering that the Double Bullet's HG 1/144 kit is set to be released on the 24th. This is in between the airings of episodes 23 and 24, so we might have a rough idea when it will be showing up. EDIT HG 1/144 boxart: http://i.imgur.com/qpPUC.jpg EDIT Looks like it has been designed as of Ep23: http://i.imgur.com/L9rwM.jpg EDIT Model booklet: http://i.imgur.com/M34gf.jpg http://i.imgur.com/HI42E.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jQJcd.jpg Armament: Twin DODS Cannon, Beam Saber, Calf Missile I think the gist is that it is optimized for Asemu's dual-wielding preferences, and it has used the data from the Zeydra/Khronos battles for combating X-Rounders. |

Asemu has a complex of surpassing his father and the Double Bullet is built for breaking through enemy formation single handedly. Both the pairs of beam sabers and cannons can be used simultaneously according to Asemu's dual wield preference. This design does appear to be better than the 00 Raiser as the binders serves as an extra pair of weapon mounted limbs, it also looks more appealing than the 6 armed Seravee. Seems like a perfect substitute for the Normal in terms of offensive ability, maybe Normal(Speed) and Double Bullet(Power) is all we need. I don't think the cannons will be as strong as the Hyper Dods, but judging from the battles thus far, Asemu does seem to have trouble aiming and it would be more efficient for him to fire two guns at once. So the Double Bullet to the Normal is what the Khronos is to the Zeydra. |

Kinda funny how on the 2nd pic they drew the Zedas like it's holding a beam saber hilt. |

I really liked the debut but it annoyed me that Asemu was shoved aside again in order to focus on AGE-1 and Flit and tell us that Asemu was only surviving thanks to the Gundam. He finally gets a second Wear and he can't even enjoy that. |

Meh; I'll take Zeheart's critiques more seriously when he isn't piloting a high-spec custom machine as he offers them. I thought it was kind of neat how the joysticks changed for the Double Bullet, but I wonder how/why the AGE System planned ahead for that. The DB certainly came off more like an "upgrade" as Hellcat suspected, than situational equipment like the Titus and Spallow. |

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/gundam/images/c/ce/Double_Bullet_ED.jpg Double Bullet replaced Normal in the ED it seems. In theory, Normal's advantage over DB should be mobily and speed but I'm not sure how good Asemu is at using that and a lot of the situations involved a lot of fighting enemies with larger numbers. Still DB should still be pretty mobile and fast considering its only has a few tons more mass than Normal. DB's Fighter Mode should in theory be a lot slower than Normal's in atmosphere though because of its shape. Unless it uses some sort of mechanism to counter its lack of aerodynamics, like how the Flag deploys some sort of sharp EM field to counter their lack of aerodynamics in 00. Now that I think about it, Double Bullet looks and feels like a GNHW version of the AGE-2 Normal. Basically, just take the same mobile suit and overload it to the brink with weapons while keeping some if not most of the same advantages. Squeezing every performance from the frame without upgrading the technology and such. Edited by SonicSP, Mar 28 2012, 02:56 PM.

On paper I really didn't like the Double Bullet, but in practice it has been pretty fun. The Strider mode is still awful though. I think it'd be kind of fun if the Adele's successor was based on the DB, even if they'd have to tone the giant beam sabers down. |
