Setting aside the human proportions for a moment, I'm blown away by how awful most of the costume designs are. |

There seems to be this weird medieval meets futuristic thing going on. Not helped by the weird colour choices. |

Kinda of a sweet picture really. I like Romary's ponytail. |

Latest AGE Blu-ray comes with another artbook, this time covering the full storyboards for the first and second OP and ED. Why at this late stage they didn't just include all eight....*shrugs* Storyboards always intrigue me because they look so deceptively simple but really do take good drawing skills. I had to do some for a Flash animation when I was studying and the ones I produced were awful. Pretty much everything is identical to what we saw in the complete animation, bar Asemu's toy G-Exes. I believe the notes do tell the animators to use the G-Exes but in the storyboard it's drawn as a Gundam with it's arms raised up for flight Superman style....part of me thinks that would have been funnier to see in the final version. |

finally got my hands on Gundam AGE Mechanics and World, which is full of lineart and some strange language consisting entirely of symbols that i can't read, as if it comes from another country or something it also comes with a giant pile of lineart of weapons that i presume are from the PSP game anyone want scans? |

well, to start with, there's lineart for all of the PSP game wears in non-SD proportions too: http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/2145/v1mv.png http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/6814/zfkx.png http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7541/7goe.png http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/2323/8zdc.png i'll scan the rest tomorrow. among other things, there's a small map in here of the AG Earth Sphere, which shows that Olivernotes is somewhere around modern-day Vancouver, Canada; the battle with the Phantom 3 takes place somewhere in the desert of Arizona/New Mexico; and Rostroulan is somewhere on the northern coast of South America. it also says, if i'm not failing at katakana here, that Big Ring is orbiting 500km from the Earth, Nortram is 5000km from the Earth; Colony Minsry and Solon City are at L1; Colony Nora and Ambat are at L2; Colony Angel and Colony Ovan are at L3; Colony Tordia is at L4; and Fardain is at L5. so lawl at the idea of the UE nest being right under Grodek's nose at the start of the show. wheeeeeee that took a lot longer than expected. probably because football always comes before Gundam anyways have a dropbox link, i scanned everything. let me know if anything needs to be rescanned. my scanner is pretty cheapo and i really didn't want to tear this thing apart after spending $60 and two weeks to get it, hence the giant crease down the middle that i can't get rid of. now to go piss off Chris with a huge lineart submission a couple days after he already updated the AGE section...
