[anchor]postacceptance[/anchor]![]() If you are accepted it is time to start getting more familiar with the forums and the extra duties! All professors are given access to a private sub-forum, where all professors can discuss and post about stuff which only they can see. |

Must send in reports to the Senior Staff in charge of the H:ogwarts Staff each week. Must grant promotions to students as and when requested by them. Apart from the above duties, Professors are highly encouraged to create activities or events for students to take part in, whether in relation to the subject they teach or not. They are also encouraged to act as mature individuals both iC (in-Character) and OOC (Out-of-Character) as a person's disposition is crucial to how the Staff Team as a whole is perceived. The downside to an unpleasant or disagreeable disposition is a Warning. |

[anchor]lessons[/anchor]![]() ![]() As a professor you are required to conduct a minimum of 4 classes per week. It is very important to do your "homework" before you take a class. It is necessary to research and compile your lesson before you are ready to present it to the students. Most professors make up a small "draft" of their lesson. A draft basically contains all the necessary information that you need teach to the students during the course of your class. It must contain all the important points that you need to touch upon. We often advise professors to have medium-detailed lesson plans because it is easier to remember points on the topic you wish to teach for the day, and also to make up the grammar around the point you are stressing. Coming to the basics of teaching, professors are required to advertise their classes through the use of "mass invites" found on client and in the highly populated areas (Entrance and Grand Staircase) and then lead their students up to the classroom. A class can run anywhere between 10-25 minutes. Double lectures may take up a slightly longer time as they cover two topics in one go. ![]() On a general basis, Professors are allowed to award points to students for a certain number of deeds, both in the classroom and outside of the classroom. Similarly, Professors are also allowed to deduct points form students for a certain number of deeds both inside and outside the classroom. A House Points topic is created each month (inside the Professor's Lounge) for the purpose of recording all the awarding and deducting of points for that month. The Senior Staff in charge of the House Points topic will total the House Points at timely intervals throughout the month. Please remember if you are found to be making unfair deductions or additions of points, your ability to award/deduct points will be revoked until further notice. Upon repeat of this offence, you will be removed from your position as professor.

[anchor]reports[/anchor]![]() Each week, Professors are expected to submit a full record of what classes they took, the points they gave out during said classes and the Lesson Plans for the same. If professors dont submit their reports by the Sunday will result in a warning. The following is a Report Template for Professors/Head of Department and Groundskeeper.

[anchor]graduating[/anchor]![]() All students fill in a graduation request form, and post it here All professors are able to accept or deny each form, but as soon as a professor has dealt with a form, their decision is final. If you disagree with any decisions made by any of the professors then you may take it further with your HoD or a member of Senior Staff. After reading the report and checking all the information is legit, the professor is required to edit the student's post and add the following code, depending on what decision they came to. GRADUATED.
DECLINED.

[anchor]general[/anchor]![]() As a member of H:ogwarts Staff, you are expected to be at your very best behaviour in front of the students and professors alike, more so, iC (in-Character). Though, we do give you free reign to have any amount of character personalities, the basic attitude to your job and the way you handle students is extremely important. All students should be treated with utmost care and respect. We do understand that sometimes your character's personality may cause conflict with the attitude you must have towards your job and the students, in such a circumstance we ask you to exercise some sort of restraint on your character personality.
