I was out for a wander this morning and within 2mins I'd bounced a young buck at the low side of the forestry so I decided to head up to the top,walking from 1 wood to another I spotted 2 bucks having a bit of a set-too but I wasn't quick enough with my phone and binos so all got was this,after the video I then dropped to the floor and took aim on the buck to the left which I would say lost the fight against the other buck and also against a 140gr partition which whistled through his neck from 122yrds

He took some dragging and when I got back to the larder I gralloched him and then weight was

Yes, head and feet off nearly broke me back trying to lift it on to the gamble,gunna get an electric winch fitted in larder. It must have been 60lb when shot, when it was butchered 2 days later I was informed that there were puncture marks all over his rear quarter. Going up again on Sunday maybe to try get the nasty one.

That is a big lad,but,I took a mate out the other wek and he dropped a Buck,and,it weighed....head off feet off....58lb 7ozs......now that is a hell of a lump!
