Well after all the searching I finally found a nice buck and then down to pilot error made a complete bo***cks of it and yes Phil was there with his video camera to make sure I remember it for a long time, Pullinghair*** Pullinghair***
I attempted to go for a 120m neck shot off sticks as it was not stood for a boiler room shot, Ive done shots like this before and at further ranges but things dont always go to plan as you will see,a complete clean miss so theres a good possible chance I'll be back this evening. **sgun** **sgun** *dunce* ***no*** ***no*** *crying* *crying*

Nice little video clip,

Its not the shot i would have taken (personaly), i would have gone for a boiler room shot at that range off sticks
like i said its personal choice, i was not holding your rifle or looking through your scope *Monkey Hanger*

I was also waiting for another shot when he stood for you,

He looks a good quality buck, im sure you will meet again soon. *Monkey Hanger*

Nice buck Karl. We learn something new just about every time we are out. Maybe next time you might wait for a better angle for a boiler room shot? No doubt you will meat again and the outcome might be different.FM.

Good luck with him later mate, I'm sure that you will get him in the end.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

As your looking at the deer the view is from the video camera angle,I was stood 2yrds left of the camera-man and I assure you if the shot was possible I would have taken it,a bit like the 1st deer I ever shot with you the legs were just not right I would most certainly pinned a leg on the way in
2. 14.04.02 130grBarn 7mmR/mag 140yrds Buck Boiler D/S

I hope to have a re-match with him it was in the same field I took you to and you did that 102yrd free hand. *elmer* *elmer*

I think i could tell by the big sigh at the end you were waiting for the perfect turn and stand still, which until it f***ed off i was still capable of doing, i dont blame you for waiting for the chance.
Treat every day as its the last,,,one day it will be !

We went for another look for that buck and he was there again within 200yrds of the last attempt, just as we were about to stalk up the wood side a doe walked out between us and went away barking her head off Pullinghair*** Pullinghair***

(just click on the pic)
When the doe ran into the wood we got to the end of the wood hoping that the buck would still be there and he was but he ran straight away abit spooked I think,A rabbit did come out and stood bout 70yrds away so I put cross-hairs on it and would you belive it a fox was stalking the rabbit I never moved my rifle just flicked the saftey and give it a 140gr partitions between the rabbits ears, *Dancing Rab*

A nice buck there mate.
A typical "wolds" buck.
Long and light with little span.
Very nice all the same.
