i finished work at ten last night and decided to get up at 4.30 and go for a wander and see if the rutt had started, every year with us it has started around this weekend coming give or take a day or so. anyway the farmer had just cut a field of silage off yesterday so it made walking along the side of the wood easy, had a few calls nothing showing so went for a sit in a high seat in the middle of a big wood, i got settled in and glassed for half an hour then started calling after twenty min a in six pointer came out on his own and presented a 80yd neck shot, after the gralloch i hung him up in a tree and went and sat back in the seat waited for half an hour then started calling again straight away a doe came out on her own to within 40yds of the seat what a morning, its good to get a reaction to the call atb davo.
ps. i have jimmy milnes up all weekend so i hope we can get him a buck fingers crossed.

Nice buck Davo, how did you get on with Jimmy?
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!
