found a couple of recently cast roe antlers this afternoon, about 2 metres apart, smallish six pointer.

I'm off stalking in the morning on the new ground, hopefully most of the bucks will still be fully equipped!

Well, nice to be in a piece of virgin unstalked woodland, over 50 acres of it running along a valley side. Saw two does both with twins, watched one set of twins suckling from mum, and they were the bigguns, the other twins were tiny, for half a second I thought they were muntjac! Only saw one buck and he was still in antler, never got onto him as he was in transit across a stubble some distance away.

My little bro came up trumps with two bucks, both together in some rough grassland, two shots about 10 seconds apart and he had them both grassed. One had a healed break to a hind leg and a dislocated foot, still in good nick though body weight-wise. He also saw a doe with 4 kids following her, deffo on what he saw as they were only 40 yards away and in the open!

Nothing too different in that except the offside antler was 2/3 the size of the other.
