After an outing last week were I had a minor cock up due to pilot error which cost me a fox ***fox**** ***wist*** say no more SID!!!
I then during the week completely stripped my rifle down cleaned every part and put it back together so thats scope off action out of the stock cleaned and all put back together, the only problem was I never got the chance to re-zero my rifle so as most people should know you never shoot a deer from a cleaned gun so me and philsako called to a piece land with a good back stop to test my rifle.I fired 3 shots 2 100gr hollow points and 1 140gr partition which I didnt think was too bad after walking 90m there and back in 3ft of snow which slightly altered my breathing *pink ele* (blowing out me &rse)

We then pulled up at the land of choice and its always a good sign when you see deer before getting out of the van, 3 deer stood aprox 120m in a wood around a feeder and 1 in the middle of a newly planted plantation as the 3 at the feeder where covered with rather alot of trees/bushes I sent Phil for the lone doe on the bank of the plantation.
I went off in the direction of the 1st 3 following tracks in the snow which wasnt very quiet hence I bounced them out of the other end of the wood getting to a high vantage point I rang Phil to see how he'd got on and he told me that these 3 cock birds had spooked the doe and that it had run into a near-by wood and that he'd followed it in and was stood at the ready incase it show'd so I said I would continue through the next wood and on turning round and walking from behind these bails there were a doe and follower stood in the open 60m which spotted me at the same time I spotted them and back into the wood they went.
I thought with the weather conditions the best thing I could do would be to get into my high seat and wait,I got to the seat and had a look round before climbing in I spotted movement between the tree's at the far end of the wood.
I decided to move very slowly to get within a good range for a shot I quickly noticed there were 8 deer a mix of does and bucks, one of the does walked out into a clearing and I dropped it at 145m stone dead which made the other 7 run through the wood towards me so I got ready for another shot( I remember saying to myself 'Good shot, reload', *feck* Robbo,I'll pay ya later)I then shot the 2nd doe 86m in front of me and that went straight down also. The rest of the deer legged it out of the wood and out of sight.
Within 2mins Phil was ringing me saying he'd heard a shot I told him I'd shot 2 so he came to give me hand to carry them the mile back to the car bouncing another 6 on the way back to the car.

Nice to see that they're back Karl, well done mate.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!
