Didnt get out till after the rain stopped and within 20mins our guide Bob spotted a calf on its own so he shot it bout 170m only thing was,it was the other side of a fast flowing burn.Phil offered to go get the calf while bob and me went up the mountain after a herd of 20 or so deer.As we set off up some of the hinds were watching from above getting abit jumpey as we peered over the brow the wind changed and they were off so I got set up bob ranged it and told me which one to shoot, patch of snow was 280m but mine stopped at 300m so I took the shot and dropped it like a stone, well pleased certainly a week to remember, loving it.

I am lucky enough to have some good roe stalking down here but I still really enjoy my trips to Scotland, the scenery, the wildlife and the peace and quiet are fantastic.

I shot 2 hinds and 1 calf,Phil shot 1 hind and 2 calfs and Bob took out a calf on its own so that was 7 beasts it was quite hard finding them

Im joking there were Reds all over the place we were near on hand feeding these few at the back of our lodge the best part was it was selective stalking not just shoot out that moves,we went down the glen passed about 100 red hinds and calfs picked 2 and they were the 2 we came out with.

Looks like a great place Karl, also looks like there's enough to go at too.
