hi all,
ive got some permission and part of it butts onto a large wood that i know holds roe, on the "very odd" occasion in the past when ive been rabbiting ive seen them come out of the wood and feed on my permission, just wondered if anyone could advise me on how i could entice them to come over this boundry a little more often.
all the best

You will only manage this with either shelter and/or food. you could try planting a game crop or similar and see if they start using it. However you will probably find regularly putting out chopped carrots is as successful as anything but you will certainly also attract rabbits.
What is also well worth trying is a salt lick, most agricultural supply stores will stock these and they can produce some surprising results. *Monkey Hanger*

cheers pro,
planting a cover crop is not really an option i could bait the area with sugar beet or carrots as you suggest but i wonder if anyone has had any luck with salt licks or some of these attractants they seem to like in the states
all the best

fodder beat is the thing for roe but only when the weathers cold.
A game crop or chicory is what you need, though it will not do anything in year 1.
