saw signs of bloody rats in the yard yest,,so set a trap baited with a bit of lambs liver,,, got home today to find a young rat had been tempted to the last supper!!! unfortunately,,i suppose 1 young un caught will mean more to be had!!! so traps set again...fingers crossed!!! Pullinghair***
when the seagulls follow the trawler...it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea!!!!

Posh Rats are they? Lambs liver indeed. *aaaa* I use digestive biscuits if I need a bait, peanut butter is also good but goes mouldy.

For mice I always use chocolate which I melt onto the bait holder it lasts for ages. I would bet it would also work for rats though in the past I have just put a Fenn trap in a tunnel next to a wall.

That's a new one on me Slim rats & mice are incontinent anyway. It's often the scent of us thats the problem, gamekeepers will sometimes squeeze out the urine of stoats etc onto traps which then entices any others in the area.
