make sure your very well cammoed up as if the pigeons dont notice you im sure those pesky old crows will, they have superb eye sight and dotn half make a row once theyve spotted you. get to yoru shoot and hide up about a half hour before the birds start to come in at least and shove a few odd decoys in the trees just on the branches so they look like as lifelike as possible.apart from that i cannot help you any more but im sure somebody else will give you an input shortly :)

Just like supersharpshooter says, m8. Get Camo'd up & also cover your face & bare hands. If you "lie-low" just a bit before dusk, I hide in a Holly covered bush where I shoot, Woody's will come to roost in the "sitty" trees, ive had em roosting 10yards vertical above my head!!
Move like a ghost & raise your gun very steadily (practice your steep angle shooting is my advice).

Also, clear away any dry leaves or twigs underfoot from where you sit in waiting, a snapped twig will send em all packing!! :o

You can fry the breasts, no problem. Might find them a bit tough.

Alternatively, they roast well. Keep it/them for a couple of days after shooting, a bit like you 'hang' a Pheasant. This should tenderise it. Pluck & gut it, chop an apple, dont bother peeling, into 10mm cubes. Mix apple cubes with PLENTY of butter, 2-3 tablespoons, all game birds are naturally low fat & dry, very healthy to eat!! This buttery mix will ensure woody doesn't dry out. Stuff bird with the buttery mix, wrap in aluminium baking foil & bake in a medium oven for 50-60 minutes.
Carve off the breast & serve with veggies, delicious m8 ;)
