Just wondered about live/cage traps when trapping rats, how do you dispose of them once trapped? do you let them go elsewere or kill them whilst in the trap? Ive killed a couple whilst still in the trap, but i cant tell you what method i used :ph43r: |

I don't really see the point of live traps though, unless you are using them because you intend releasing certain "detainees". If a Fenn trap is set correctly it is pretty humane - not that I would lose much sleep over a rat. photopro |

It was only because i never had any fenn traps otherwise it would have been simple
:D I have a few now, but i dont get the rats anymore, now that the ferrets like to play under the shed. What a waste of good cash!

Live traps are pointless. You can not release any pest BY LAW unless it is onto your own land. (re-distribution of pests act) It is far more humane to use a trap that kills instantly. |
