CROW & FOX Killer BUT scared SHITLESS of DAREBEAR

well here it is well and truely tested the secret weapon is................shineing right in the middle of the picture.![]() Well had it 2 weeks now and used it 3 times first time did not seem to make any difference then realised what the problem was it was overcast not a bit of sun in sight. Then yesterday was the first day with nice bright sunshine so went shooting with my mate scaffy on some of his permission. Got set up with the decoys out to the left of the hide as the birds were coming from that side, then set the disco ball up out on the right of the hide we could not believe the difference the sun made, Nice flashes of light from the ball just like the disco dancing nights years ago. We sat and watched the blackones flying straight over the decoys to the ball and flying round it before we shot them we even put a magnet out with the decoys to see if that would make a difference they still came in to the flashing ball. We shot from 11.00am till 3.oopm as we were going to a BBQ we ended up with over 60 blackones mostly jackdaws, Used it again today on one of my farms just a few decoys and the ball and shot about 20 all crows in 3 hours then we went and stood in the stackyard of the farm and shot 40 ferals as they were coming in to land on the farm buildings we shot over 30 ferals on the same farm last week. this picture shows the ball better. ![]()

OK admit it Mike you are from another planet aren't you? Disco ball for God sake !! Some chance of me guessing that one. I take it the success is down to corvid curiosity. If that's the case then maybe a ball of silver Christmas tinsel will also work, or one of the other myriad of Christmas bits and pieces. photopro P.S. Do you have to shoot in flares and wear a gold medalion??

If you put one of these lifelike "Herons" from a garden centre,in the middle of a field, that would draw the Crows. They hate Herons, will mob them on sight. ^_^ *good* |

I'm bussy creating a home made decoy maggie. made in white plastic from a bucket, paint is drying now, the silhouette is "almost" a maggie, and cut some pieces of mirror to put on, tommorow I pul it in a birch behind the house, see whats gonna happend. ![]() the Hawk is the one who gave me the idea! its not a disco bal, but I think its gonna work, and if not, I can always buy me that bal  |

the maggie decoy was a disaster, it works more to keep them OUT the garden! But I made 3 crow decoys in polystyrene, paint them black and tried them out this morning, they look very crow-a-like, and when i put them on a field... crows are coming... but not so close as I want! WHY ME!!!??? so I tried again this evening on an other place (between the buildings, on the green) and that was bingo! they all land on the side of the roof, and i just have to shoot them of! They dont have the chance to warn the rest of them, becouse when they fall, they drop dead in the netlle's under the wall! 5 this evening!

i made a few magpie decoys last week and tested them out yesterday at the bottom of my sisters garden and the worked too, using the call box the blighters were hoping around the decoys and using my new S16 shot one and when the others took cover in a nearby tree, i propped the dead one up and the rest soon came back, i shot 4 out of the 6 that were there, so not a bad result realy

very good hawk! since my last post I shot around 25 crows I think, so mine work too. I spend some time to find out where the maggie's are sleepin, and find that spot. This week 12 maggie's died, and I gonna make me a hiding place around it, becouse they become more allert of me and my gunny. |
