CROW & FOX Killer BUT scared SHITLESS of DAREBEAR

I got an invite last wednesday did i want to do some serious pigeon shooting. Does a monkey like nuts, Told him to tell me where and when, i was told to be at his house for 6am saturday. Just to be on the safe side i got there at 5-45am. We set of i followed him we did about 50 miles only took 45 minutes we then pulled in to a estate yard told to park my motor and get in with him and he would show me round. Gravel roads between all the fields great every time we pulled up to look at a field all (RAPE STUBBLE) over 500 acres there was hundreds of birds in every field. Mate said take your pick i could not decide so told him to pick a field as if he was going to shoot it the one he picked had over 400 shot on it last tuesday. my mate went to the other side of the estate to meet another friend and they set up on them fields so we could bounce the birds about. I think there were about 9 fields anyhow i got set up shells out, magnet out, 2 floaters and right in the middle a flapper was set by 8am. shot first bird within minutes had about 20 in first hour or so then they switched off. I could hear the other 2 blasting away in the distance then got a call to say the farmer had been round and told them the main sport does not start till 3pm. It was quiet for a few hours with just the odd bird comeing to the decoy,s. Sure enought about 3 they really started to come got quite a few doubles my mates packed up at 4pm one went home the other came and sat with me as things had dried up where they had been. 5pm the thunder and lightening started then the skies opened we got soaked to the skin putting everything away, and we picked up 109 birds my best ever. Even in all that rain they were still coming down bloody unbelieveable never seen so many bird before.Hope i get another invite ill be dropping hints..
:P

You share them with the ferrets, id have 107 and they get 2, id say thats pretty fair! James, you really have to try eating these birds, there really tasty, my mate nearly chucked his guts up once before when he came round to mine and tried "whatever it was" i was eating, and i never told him what it was at first and then once he'd calmed down, he was eating more than i was
:o And he still asks me when ill be cooking some more :D Well done Mike, Verrrryyy good shooting!

nice shoot hawkeye!!I have a couple shoots like that in the winter,in exchange for foxhunting. 109 dead birds? no problem, pull of the breast meat, and you have a fine sort of staeck, make a mix with honey and mustardseed,(or whatever you like) let the pigeon filets soak 24hours in that mix, and after it in a pan on the fire..mmm delicious, same on the barbeceu. the rest of the pig is for the ferret. |

I would agree with the boys on this. Just take the breast meat which makes things a lot easier and there are loads of recipes which would suit - and the meat is excellent. photopro |
