Last friday i finally got full authorisation to hunt the factorygrounds anytime i like as long there is nobody there. *jump*
Woke up this morning at 6 o'clock, couldn't sleep so why not do a little hunting. -Eat Lead-
I got 10 ferals, well 11 actually but one crashed on a roof, i couldn't reach it, the crows are welcome to it.
Almost got a magpie but it scattered in panic the moment i aimed, somebody must have hunted it before.
Saw this kind of picture many times overhere so here's my picture, including my trusty HW97K with scope and lasersight. :D
Boy, do i love this gun and setup, it is all i want and all i need.

EDIT; i'm sorry, this should be in "pigeon shooting".
Beware of the man with only one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Well done Bodhi, good shooting ***goooodd****
You will find that it gets a bit harder everytime you go, as they soon realise that their been hunted, so it takes a bit more skill to stalk them. 11 birds is a good number, nice picture too! :D

Indeed!
There are a brown/white pigeon and a black one that seem to recognise my balled head! :D
They're funny, when i am just at work i sometimes just pick up a piece of wood or metal, pretend to aim and they fly away like their life depends on it...well, it does actually, i can't blame them. *dielaugh*

Can you believe that my company paid a firm 1750 euro plus 300 euro for every bird each 3 months to get rid of the pigeons? And the most that firm ever got was 4 ferals a month using cages!
Finally the new management wised up en went back to the old way, they gave me back my huntinggrounds and save a lot of money at the same time.
Life can be so simple.............

But it was a struggle! Hunting is quite a hassle in Holland and even licensed you are practicly allways doing something illegal, our laws are known for their contradicting articles. (drugs, prostitution and euthanesia are great examples)
The new management did not want to burn their fingers and i can't blame them.
But even in the unlikely event that they get fined, it is much cheaper to let me hunt and pay the fine!
Would they get fined for shooting the pigeons? No........it is illegal if an airgun is visible from the public road..............

But it is all in the past now, like in the early 90's i am the only one allowed to hunt here, only difference is that i now have a much better gun, back then i had a.........gamo.

It's a Hawke, the range is better then the effective range of the gun so no problems there.
And best of all, it only costs 45 euro!

Great *QQQ* , Bodhi ;)

Amazing how businesses, local authorities etc..... will pay people to do things the official & politically correct way, when traditional methods are cheaper & better.

Oh bodhi please dont start kicking around about Gamo's! you are too long on that sshitty dutch airgun forum, really.
Gamo's are verry accurate and good guns- for their price- give me a 440hunter and I will match with you on ferals. yes , they have twangs, yes they have lousy triggers, but when you never have used or had another gun, you wil never now that in your life.

I can see a Hunter World World tour starting soon. 1st stop, The Netherlands, earn a few thousand euros, Then Belgium to bag a few feral cats :D and then back to The Netherlands to finish off the pigeons, fill our rucksacks with more euros and go back to Bodhi's for a Cat and pigeon BBQ.
Anyone interested? ;)

OK, we make a deal: I start shooting ferals an lay them free on that factory ground, bodhi claims them as he shooted them, and ask his boss... mmmm 30euro's? and we split the profit. can be lucrative on a long term -Pint- -Pint- -Fun1-

Yes you would, Holland is in my opinion the most liberated country in the world but you can't shoot anything.
Even owning a gun brands one a criminal / sadistic butcher. :D
On the other hand, Japan has less people per square kilometer, there must be something why all you foreigners come overhere. :D
Anyway, i don't want you here, you lot are to good at shooting pigeons, there won't be any left for me! :D

@ Rat Drilla,
It is a weirauch HW97K, .22 caliber.
VERY accurate for a springer, 1 inch groups at 25 yards are normal.
The recoil is weird like any springers recoil, you don't feel much in the schoulder but if you rest your hand on something while shooting the skin gets damaged after a few shots.

The laser was a waste of money as it turns out, it scares the pigeons and i now only use it as a rangefinder.
Beware of the man with only one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
