Must have been one of them days? BUT (and not one to blow my own trumpet da da da da dadah) Hawkeye yesterday recieved an object lesson in high bird shooting, dammned trouble was he picked the tips UP and matched me, I have had decent days when you dont miss much, but yesterday was a one off apart from the 1st crow to come for a look ( no guns ready)and one from a group of five lucky bird, NOTHING that came within range left, ok only about 30 birds down but blimey 10 of them were fast and right on the range limit , and ALL dropped clean as, cracking couple of hours, far better than 30 birds coming in to 20 yards only to be made into pillow cases. cheers MH |

During the war (I sound like uncle Albert now!) I am told that they used to cook the breasts and legs, supposed to be a bit like beef? |

MH blow his own trumpet you must be joking (my ears are still ringing.)  At least he admits i matched him shot for shot the number of real high birds was great they were really shifting as it was blowing a gale. We had a great time the piss take was good as well as the shooting we didnt have the numbers we normally get but it was still enjoyable. As MH said 5 came in at one time and only 1 flew away. You didnt have much time to get set for them, they were going so fast with the wind.. :D :D :D Now today was a different matter ask MH who it was that couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo. Ill give you a clue there were only two of us there and it wasnt me   Mind you it didnt take him long to get back on form we ended the day with i think it was 41 crows and 6 woodies something like that i know the end total was 47... I think MH had time early on to think about his shooting while he was chaseing the bloody cattle from out of the deaks. One big sod kept giveing him the stare i was pissing myself to see who would win MH came out on top. After he had been out a few times which was good of him as it saved me hobblying as i have a knackered knee, i am waiting to go and have cartilage operation to sort it out. I decided to have a go shifting them myself, well you cannot leave everything to the townies can you. So hope you took note MH,, i just went out of the hide and said if you lot dont f*** of you will end up in MacDonalds as beef burgers it worked they went across that field like scolded cats never to return...... :D :D :D :D **spam** **spam**
