CROW & FOX Killer BUT scared SHITLESS of DAREBEAR

Meeting the shot hogger at 8-15pm bet he's late going to shoot the local golf course again.
Says we will use his wifes freelander not bloody likely (have you seen him drive) to many big holes and the river on here to let him drive.........

Will report result when i get back in later on tonight . B) B) -Eat Lead- -Eat Lead- -Eat Lead-

Well just got back in not to much to report really got to admit we both shot well tonight.
19 bunnies picked up and about 4 that got away over the edge of the quarry.
One or two good long shots the best of the night was a bunny on Photopro's side of the motor (BY THE WAY USED MINE AGAIN) i put the lamp on and he shot it then spotted one my side swung the lamp round on to it.

They dont call me Hawkeye for nowt straight through the head then he argued that mine wasnt any further away than his.(MINE WAS A GOOD 3 YDS FURTHUR) EVEN IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF.

We saw the fox again tonight wishing i hadnt given my word now but never mind his time will come.... :o :o
Took some pictures but have left the camera in the car will put them up tommorow.

Its typical isnt it the so called proffessional mug shot taker never has a camera with him .
But then it would be like overtime for him and he would charge the bloody earth...

All in all we had a good nights shooting we were going to shoot the light's out on the river boat as it went past then thought better of it (ONLY JOKING)
*QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ*

Forgot to add about the one i shot from long distance that was running at full gallop right in the back of the head even his lordship had to admit it was a good shot... *dielaugh* *dielaugh* *dielaugh* *dielaugh*

You know some people are never satisfied, we'll use my wife's Freelander I said, nice big windows, auto gearbox with descent control - ideal for slow moving bunnying. Do I get any gratitude? Any "Thanks photopro you're a real mate" no none of it. OK I admit I used to race motorbikes but that's not Freelanders is it? -angry2-

Anyway, good conditions for shooting rabbits with a slight breeze and recent rain to freshen the grass. This little 9 holes course is surrounded by rabbit friendly land and on every circuit rabbits appeared. Our first encounter however was with a hare, which we both identified straight away and left unmolested. Rabbits however were very much on the hit list and hit them we did. I sometimes think a certain person is testing me to see what I can shoot 'cos I seem to get an awful lot of long shots - don't get me wrong though - it would be a shame to leave them, if for instance no-one else could hit them (he he).
We start the second circuit, and again pubic puts in an appearance (oh come on - the hare for God sake - keep up !!) again we cruise by with not a hare out of place. More rabs, and on this lap there are two (AN EQUAL DISTANCE AWAY) that are set-up for a challenge. I'm not certain of the range but it wasn't less than 75yds and could maybe have been significantly more. I levelled the Ruger on the one on the left and it fell without a kick. So now the pressure is on Mike - and he knows it, and I know he knows it, and he knows that I know that......well you get the picture. I was praying he missed, I wanted him to make an arse of it, I was mentally writing this paragraph and it was half finished as he was aiming; BUT unfortunately he didn't miss (sod it !!) and the second bunny fell without a twitch. The bunnies are stacking up now and as "him in 4x4's" has already said I took a very good long shot for which I was well chuffed. *good*
We start our third and final round of the course and near the first tee spot a rabbit in the grass, the conversation went something like:

Me "There's that hare"
H "It's a rabbit isn't it?"
Me "I'm not sure I think it's the hare"
H "It's a rabbit"

I fired and at first it looked like I had missed, seconds later the hare stood up and then collapsed in a heap as dead as. (Hare season 1 Aug to 28 Feb so not out of season) Oh bugger !! No amount of hare restorer was going to revive this one. It really was a case of hare today gone tomorrow. *aaaa*
The last round gave us more coney before we decided to unzip them. We had 19 rabbits in total plus 1 hare, and failed to recover no more than about 4 rabbits, so pretty accurate shooting and for not many wayward shots.

One thing we both noticed tonight was the acrobatic antics of some of the rabbits and not necessarily after being shot. One in particular jumped about 2ft in the air as the light beam reached it (some others did similar). I think they were spooked by the bright circle of light coming towards them and they were jumping as they might to avoid a pouncing predator. It did look funny though. *jump*

We also saw the fox again, and didn’t attempt to terminate it.

How come yours are Linford Christie rabbits when you shoot them on the move but when I shoot a moving rabbit it's as fast as Steven Hawking - with a puncture?

All in all a good nights shooting - did I mention who retrieved all the rabbits? Including instructions - with anti aircraft light guidance - to pick up a rabbit we hadn't even shot? -Rabbit2-

Well you two should start up a comedy duo, you know, like Smith & Jones, or the two Ronnies, but I see you doing that one (can't remember the names, two "old" blokes) (not saying that you two are old! :D ) where one guy would chastise and call the other one names, and the other would follow with a bigger insult, some thing like, "see that cow over there, thats your wife that is!" Argggh what were they called?
Anyway, see them two, thats you two that is! :D

Oh, and nice shooting by the way.. *aaaa*

I know who you mean, one half was David Baddiel the other Rob Newman. They had a mega falling out and split with Newman going to Australia I think. It must have been bad he couldn't get much further away could he ?? Pity because he was the best half of the two.
Anyway I'll take that as a compliment, I'll be Newman, Hawkeye the baddie - well he is anyway !! *dielaugh*
