CROW & FOX Killer BUT scared SHITLESS of DAREBEAR

I was out with scaffy a mate from the PW forum yesterday (thursday) on one of his shoots we went after crows that we had seen the night before when we were shooting rabbits.

Blowing a gale got the hide set up on a stubble field put out a dozen crow decoys to the left and scaffy set out 10 pigeon deeks on the right.

Pigeons started coming in before we had got the guns out of the bags.

It was 2pm when we started and we packed up at 6-30 so we could have a break before we went out lamping.

We picked up 46 woodies and 19 blackones later we got 6 rabbits with the lamp and 7 hares i know i dont normally like to shoot hares but i have 1 farm that is inundated with them and have been asked to cull them a bit.

We went back today but only got one and a half hours we shot 24 pigeons and 5 blackones then the skies opened and we packed up soaking wet .

this was the first days bag.......

They all look like Jackdaws to me was that correct? Did you get them crashing through in flocks like we had?

It has never (in recent years) been shot, so to make the most of it I think we had better wait for a course closure which is bound to happen soon. There are certainly Crows and Magpies about all the time.
