I have just had the Firearms Officer round to my house re my application for a FAC, I must admit that I was quite supprised when he said that I should also apply for a .17HMR as well as the .22RF with Sound Moderator and shotgun, he also suggested that I apply for an airgun FAC too! Then he looked at the house, cabinate and told me that there was not a problem, but should also put up my ammo stock to 1000 rounds of each! This guy was very easy to deal with, however I do think that my job helped greatly! :D

Well another wait of 3 to 4 weeks for the lic to arrive! :( .

Then *aaaa* *QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ* *QQQ*

That almost exactly what I suggested Jamie should do. Take care to put any of the moderators you may require on the ticket. The only way round this is if the gun is never sold without one. You need plenty of ammo on there otherwise you are forever shopping for it due to the small amounts listed on your ticket. He obviously told you about applying for the shotgun cert and section one to be co-terminous i.e. renewing at the same time, it does save you money and is also less aggro. *good*
The weapons are tax deductable in your case regardless of the "company" shooting you do now, since you need the guns before you can develope that side of the business. :)

Springer he is in both CID Coneys In Danger & MI5 Mouse Intelligence Service - well the 5 does look like an S *dielaugh*

There was a guy on TV the other night needless to say a late night act only and one of his lines was:

Well my new lisence arrived today and so I dragged James over to the local gun shop and purchased a .22RF, CZ American . ;)
From there we went to one of our shoots and checked the sights. after only 3 or 4 rounds I clobbered a stone set in some mud about 25 yards away and thought that will do for starters, walked into the woods and there about 40 yards away was a bunny, hopping through the nettles! ;) Took aim and it stopped, now all I could see through the long nettles was a lump of brown fur but I thought thats enough and aimed straight at it. I let the first round (in anger) loose towards the unsuspecting Coney and was delighted to see the surrounding few nettles shudder as the Rabbit collapsed in a heap. I was looking down at the target and so was able to keep my eye on it as I jumped a dyke (No, not a lesbian Photopro, a small streem :D ) and made my way through the nettles to the Rabbit. When I got there I was delighted to see that I had hit it just behind the ear and the kill was instant. BUT, I did'nt shoot at the head, I shot at the torso, that was all I could see! Back to re sight up, at 60 meters I was shooting about 5 inches out to the right, time to play about so with James's help we eventually zero'd her in and 30 rounds later I was punching holes into a bottle cap at 60 meters! **sniper** I was pleased with that. :D I am very pleased with the new gun. :P Beware Bunnies! :ph43r:
Now the sad thing is that Mixi has well and truly got hold of this shoot now and so we will have to go on a mercy mission and kill as many as possible to try to stop it from spreading. :(

I wouldn't make a habit of shooting stones, you will very soon find out why, boy do 0.22LR's ricochet !! Happy new rifle though, no doubt you will be so excited you will have a semi-on for a week !! *jerk* *lol*

I would recommend Winchester subsonics for rabbits, CCI are OK but I don't think they are as consistent. If you have a word with Hawkeye he might tell you where to find the gypsy who sold him the 35ft/lbs subs that he has got !! *lol*

I lowered the population of healthy rabbits with the HW, thought I better get a few shots in before the rimmy takes care of everything before I even get near  .
I'm a little sad to say there were a few dead mixi victims lying about :( :( :( .
I just hope it doesn't spread too far, there's only a road splitting that shoot from another 40 acres we havn't even touched yet. I was really looking forward to some good hunting this autumn/winter, but if the mixi carrys on it just won't happen :( .

Hawkeye is away for a few days pigeon bashing. He got the very low velocity rounds which I can't see the point of using, you might as well use the S1 Rapid. so I started taking the P - as you do - asking if he'd bought them off some gypsy.
