Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

3 shot autos are good guns, great when you shoot 3 birds with 3 shots! :D
You just have to keep them clean.
its just that some are prone to jamming and not ejecting the spent cartridges sometimes......

Fergie mate,
Its a matter of finding the right gun for you, get one that fits correctly to start with.
Be it a semi or a double "if it dont fit, it dont hit" (Clever Eh!!)
On a serious note though semi's are good fun, especially for pigeons and Rabbits etc
I have one as well as an O/U, but in all honesty the last cart is usually fired in desperation!!!!!!!
Not many,( as folks on here will tell you) get to drop three birds at a time, once the third shot goes the woodies or whatever are already in the next county lol
It will also depend on the shooting you intend doing, some clay grounds frown at semi's as do most if not all organised game days.
Have a go with a few different guns and get the feel first.
As for the wife applying for her sgc for clays, I presume you will be going with her , most clay grounds now dont require sgc's and anyway she will be accompanied by you
so Get your cabinet /SGC/ FAC and then buy two shotties so she can use one of "yours".
Save messing about with two cabinets etc and save a few quid , just a thought.
hope this helps.
cheers Sutty

*cheers*

If you can't eat it, chew it or play with it
Pee on it and walk away

LMAO But his gun is older than you Sutty..

which is a surprise... I thought the only weapon older than you would have been a bow and arrow.. *aaaa*

I have a pump 5 shot... on a fac. the only reason I got this is because I was daft and didnt put in for my sgc when I applied for my fac...
so I ended up including a sg on my cert to save cost.... otherwise it would have been better to spend the extra 10 quid or so and get both at the same time..
As Sutty has said.... get a gun that fits.. dont just buy one that is pretty or cammo.. you can always modify it to your taste later... its a case of fitting....

Neil.. get a gun that doesnt jam please................... *QQQ*

I don't think i would be going with her all the time
and if she was to come with me could she use one of my shotguns for hunting if i was with her and she didn't have sgc????(i.e we both have a shotgun)
