KING TUTS RIGHT HAND MAN

Right lads I'm thinking of getting another gun not a semi auto like my last one. I want to be able to use it for clays and pigeons, Question 1 in your opinions what's the best chokes to use ie make of chokes not size. Reading about all these different chokes has given me a headache, so your knowledge and advice will be very appreciated on this question and the following ones. I want to spend around £1200 on a new gun, Question 2 up to now I have looked at. Beretta 686e sporter Beretta 686 gold e sporting Browning synergy pro sport or even a Beretta UGB25 Xcel semi automatic Any other ideas most welcome lads oh and no Pabear Mikey I'm not going to sell you it after 6 weeks Cheers Lads n Lasses *wedon* |

If it were me mate i'd spend £900 on a silver pigeon and the other 3oo on some good lessons, you saw my clay shooting yesterday, the lessons wouldn't go a miss, n if the gun fits an old piece of scrap can hit a target just as good as a new stare of the art one!

Right Hesky, looks like you need a trip to bransburton!!!! anyway I dont know what choke would be best... but in a simple and easy to use website ... I found this easy to understand. see this. http://www.briley.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=51 half way down.. there are nice pictures for you! as for a gun... your best off finding the fit... thats what counts. |

Thats the best advice he's ever given anyone! The fit is everything mate, if it goes straight into your shoulder and you are looking straight down the beeds then it's good.. Then you have got to choose your choke, the other thing is barrel length, I prefere shorter 28' rather than 30' as they are better in a hide, 30' seem to be prefered by the skeet guys ! Hope that this helps Hesky.. I'm no expert but thats what I look for! :) |

If you want a gun for sporting clays and by that I mean an all rounder not a trap gun or a skeet gun etc plus something for the odd pigeon day, then a good 30" (better pointability better swing once going) multi choke job will do you if you have the dosh you cant go far wrong with a nice and I mean very nice 682E cheers MH |
