A single species release in one location of 11 animals would be a stupid and irresponsible act - are you sure someone hasn't "embroidered" the story a tad ??

I would have thought that the RSPCA would be aware that it is illegal to (re)introdue
vermin species, especially that many animals, to any area.
Unless they were doing it in an attempt to control an out of control rabbit population?

Wouldn't it still be illegal though, and leave the RSPCA open to a possible prosecution?

Don't let your mind wander - it's too little to be let out alone!

The RSPCA releasing Foxes onto land! Well, there is a loophole in the law, and this is where the law falls down, if they have the permission of the landowner then they could in theory do it, however, common sense would tell them that these foxes will move on and re populate other land, thus they have (in theory) re introduced a pest, BUT as they let them go "legally" then they are within the law, just!
Personally I think that the RSPCA do a good job, lets face it, some dogs and other pet animals get a rough deal in life, without the RSPCA being there to "police" this then it would'nt be worth imagining the sort of carnage that some people would inflict on animals. The RSPCA people that I know are on the whole level headed and understand why some animals (pests) need controling (culling)so like I said, personally I think that they do a good job! *good*

Dont think that they should release fox though! -angry2-
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Well, maybe this guy had a fly in his eye, and had in mind 1+1= euh... 11? ;)

Once we had a feral cat problem in the neighborhood, our rspca came to catch them all in cages, 3 days later they where all gone and we thought," problem solved"
-angry2- Two weeks later they where all back (17 cats!) *aaaa* , marked with a V cut in the ear, sterilized. *jerk* *jerk* *jerk*
