Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Neil its like deciding what aftershave to wear. Whatever suits you best m8. I personally think its one of those pychological issues. Through the closed season our club organises a clay shoot every fortnight. There is one retired lad who is a serious clay shooter, always pissing around with his teague chokes,if hes having a bad night he will change his chokes until he starts hitting them. I have two shotguns both 3/4 and 1/2 choke, and will equally or beat his score every fortnight. (with an old side by side farmers gun) A m8 of mine has just bought a brand new Browning and put in full choke and 1/2. He has just had his sgc through and paid over a grand for this gun,he was also dusting the clays. At the end of the day the gun does not miss, its the person who pulls the trigger. Rothers |

I was reading about a bloke, who was shooting clays, and went back to his car to change his chokes. After having an almost perfect round, he realised that he had forgotten to replace his chokes, probably distracted by his mate, and had shot the round with no chokes in the gun. Fortunately he suffered no damage to the choke threads. The last thing I need to be thinking about is, 'am I using the correct chokes' I just shoot and enjoy myself, but I don't shoot clays. It would bore me to death! |
