I know just what you mean Steve, Sometimes just been there and seeing the shooting take place is more than enough and contributes to an enjoyable day out.

yes neil and wathing the dogs work is great too there was 9 shooters on both teams a a few none shooters (who beat every drive)


the melanistic birds seem to behave the same as the others apart from if you shoot one its a£5 fine if you shoot at one and miss its a £10 fine and if you let it fly by you its a £15 fine

We used to put half a dozen white pheasants down each year with a similar forfeit. One year the wife of the shoot owner bought some Guinea Fowl together with the usual Pheasant order from my brother-in-law. These were not intended for the shooters but I'm afraid that's how they went !! *aaaa* :rolleyes:
