Galvanised just means zinc plated to stop it going rusty. I couldn't tell you if it will work for your snares tough, it may be a bit stiff.

Remington 700 CDL .243Win LH + Nikko Sterling Gameking + PES T12 Mod
CZ452 .22lr Amercan LH + Nikko Sterling Nite Eater + PH mod

You can buy snares cheap enough, The ones you made could work, its just hard to say without having a closer look.

I have found that the galv single strand wire's dont seam to lock up easily so they dont grab and hold you can buy proper snares ready made on ebay for peanuts these days.

i have tried these on bunnies me and my uncle caught yesterday and the wire does not let loose

The only way to get out is by a person holding the loop and pulling so it goes loose but the more the rabbit struggles or tries to walk back it get tighter then bends to shape so it cant get out

thanx, Jake
