IF you run a buisness you need an IMPORT license! If you are importing for your OWN personal use then you do NOT need an import license. For your OWN personal use when it arrives in Customs YOU musy take your FAC with you to prove you are licenced to own such equipment! The Yanks (No offence meant) have it in their heads EVERYONE in the UK needs an import license and this is NOT the case for private use. I had this out over the Yanks telling me I needed a license before they would ship stuff over to ME. I contacted the DTI Department of Trade and Industry who will tell you IF you are importing for the sole reason of PERSONAL use then you do NOT need an import license! You only require one IF you are buying in BULK as a tradser or intend to sell on some of the items! |

There are many companys shipping out these to the uk .. not the one i need... but others in .223 cal etc.. for the likes of my armalite... 10 -15 -20 rounds plus... but then there are other bits that say you cant do that .. with some serious fines etc. does anyone really have a yes or no answer... with anything to back it up.. thanks |

I wouldn't have thought there would be many of them hanging about in a quarry, but if you do shoot them you'll need to worry about more than the size of your mag...

I will keep 2 and sell one on if I can.... hopefully to recoop some money .. but will see.... they are in HIGH Demand!! |

don't know if this helps but does comfirm what has allready been said got it from a web site that I order a few bits from in the usa: If you are placing an order for shipment outside of the United States, please review the following CHANGES regarding foreign orders. As of April 1 2008, we will no longer accept export orders where the value of the parts exceeds $100 or that contain a restricted part, requiring an export license from the U.S. Department of State or an import license from the country of destination. (Note: Canada has a $500 parts limit) so this is there law on export nothing to do with our legislation or licences |
