why trap?
because the trap can be there 24/7 when you cant !
ps i know traps have to be checked twice a day minimum

which quarry is it best for ??

almost all ground vermin
but i would also pay particular attention that you dont catch the wrong animal
in your trap and do as much as you can to prevent this happening

happy days :P

As has been said once set they are there working for you 24/7 all you have to do is check them, all small vermin can be taken in spring traps, foxes in cage traps and corvids in larson or letterbox traps, so thats all vermin accounted for. But put another way, a Gamekeeper wouldn't be very succesfull if his only means of vermin control was strolling round with a gun, which is a popular misconception.
