I was pretty good as a kid with a catty, though it was nothing like the sophisticated pieces of kit you can buy today.
If we get enough interest and posts I don't have a problem creating a catapult section.

my mate the keeper son uses marbles when practicing but i get bbs in bulk from work and the farther in law so always got a bag full around some were lol made some my self by melting some swashed pellets out of my target holder when i practice before i go out on my permission the lead bbs are ok there bigger than the normal steel bb's but dont half make a mess when they connect had a squirrel when i was walking through my mates woods quecking on his poults and a squirrel come running round the tree was like a face off mate he was only 5 yrds away got catty out put lead ball in poach and pulled back as much as it could go and i could take aimed around the squirrels neck let go and the bb connected just behind its shoulder blade it just stayed there went into my pocket to get another bb ready thinkin i missed and it just dropped of the tree when i walked up to it had a hole the size of a 5pence straight through it nasty them lead balls but prefure the factory steel balls find them alot accurate but everybody has there own favourites all the best mate silenthunter.... :D :D *good*

They can certainly be deadly at reasonable range but you are doing well if you take out a Magpie with one. *good*

I bought the pro Diablo at the welsh game fair just gone.
The steel ball bearings are crap.
I bought a lead mould of ebay.
It will cast 9 9mm shot in one go.
I have had a load of lead offcuts from work, there should be enough ammo there now for a good few years.
Rizini 12g o/u

Weirauch 100TK.177 cal. Hawke airmax sr12, Cobra merlin dsa nv(my pride and joy)
And loads of Bedlington Terriers.OOh and a new Bedlingtonxgreyhound/whippet.

So, you've got your catty, you've put a round lump of lead in it, pull back, aim . . .

But with both eyes open or just one? To the side of your eye or cheek? Thumb up or down?

Just thought the answers may help a bit. Personally, thumb up, cheek (comes from years of field archery) and both eyes.
All the best,
