I wish i had taken some photos of my success when cacthing rats in wire snares ,they look strange hanging up by there necks ,lifeless.
Has anybody else managed this tricky operation, bent nut stick and a single strand of wire on a rat run? *dance*

Yes, I've done a fair bit of rat snaring, but I prefer a single strand of stainless steel wire, set on a small hazel tealer in the same way as a miniature rabbit snare, this way I've found a lot faster and less messing about.

Well that was a conversation killer *QQQ*

*lol*

Do you usually have that effect on people Netter? *dielaugh*

I've never snared them myself, normally poison does a job for me! *death* = Ratty.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that who cares? ....... He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Yes poison is good for the job but it is much more fun to try to outwit Mr Ratty, its good to see them swinging high. You have to prove your cunning as probably with all hunting. -Bun-
Wiring foxes,,with a big piece of scrap iron on a counter weight ,they tug and weight falls off its perch and takes up the strain and strangles um high up in the hedge,my father was mustard at it,it stops them and black and wites chewing a bloody big hole in the hedge.
