RSPCA wants wire snares banned; after badger death

Where do these people get their figures from? "Almost 70 per cent of animals caught in snares are not the intended targets. Even with good practice, that number is unlikely to drop below 40 per cent." Not in my snares it's not.

soon,foxes will cath up to badgers as the most protected species in this country!!!! the country is on its &rse yet people are still only intent on making as much fuss and using as much of our tax payers money to protect a species that is not only far from endangered but is becoming a pest in most areas of the country!!! have these people nowt better to do?????????????????? sorry!!! rant over!!!! I regularly set snares for rabbits, and I've only ever caught one animal that I didn't intend to (a hedgehog) which survived, and wandered on its merry way after I released it.

I see in the report, that they say the badger must have been there some time - I wonder if the farmer had been checking his snares regularly, as required?

You just know they are going to be on his case for months now.

I just can,t imagine any Farmer i know dropping himself in the do do's by calling the RSPCA to own up to trapping a badger, in a snare, he had set himself.
just dosen't sound right somehow :wacko:

The RSPCA want to ban every thing and live in a country full of vermin where they can keep on killing healthy dogs and cats by the hundreds,and con old ladies out of there savings, with the help of this corrupt f***ing goverment, *QQQ*
