the link above is for the official guide lines that are handed down from the goverment home office to be exact but yes as you say each police force will enterpret it thier own way it's rediculus

I would reccommend anyone applying for a new FAC grant or a variation reads the Police Guidelaines document, I know first hand that sometimes the firearms departemnt need to be "steered" to the right section before they make a decision. Some of the wildly varying interpretations of the guidelines is shameful.
