Yes these vehicles along with all modern vehicles have annoying beeps when door is open and keys in ignition and driving without seatbelt,on the road ,no problem but at night , shooting, them things are bloody loud. So first to silence the seat belt chime its a matter of holding in the ODO button 12 seconds insert seat belt and see on screen message beeps "on" press again "beep off" done (1)turn the car on , do not start engine(leave you foot off the brake).cycle your trip reset knob until you it reads odo. turn the ignition back off. wait a couple of seconds (2) make sure seat belt is not fastened (3)turn the ignition back on ,do not start the car(leave your foot off the brake) as soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count. (4)keep your finger on the trip reset knob. fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the odo display go from xxxx ks to "b-on". at that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. it should cycle to "b-off". you should be all set turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt. Then for the door open beep there is a small switch on the ignition barrel ,as soon as the key goes in it operates the switch, so unplug the two cable lead. First to the left and down from the steering wheel put two fingers in the square hole and pull off the fuse bord cover. now remove the three screws on the steering cowl lower to uncover the ignition switch,,a small gauge pozi screwdriver is needed. ![]() then pull the plug out. ![]() then silence. |

You could always just plug in an old seat belt lock-up with no belt attached. |

Hey, Slim, how long is a 'long 12 second count' ? (Drive with the door closed - end of annoying beeps )
