With the very mild winter we have just had it is inevitable that we will see a rise in the Tick population and it is important that people know how to deal with these nasty creatures. *tick*
When you have returned from shooting check you don't have any passengers particularly in your nooks and crannies (no Slim that was "crannies" - but check there as well) it's worth enlisting your partner for the bits you can't see. If you find a Tick it should be spiralled off using a specialist Tick remover such as "The O'Tom Tick Remover" dead cheap but the action makes sure the contents of the Tick isn't squeezed into your blood stream, also that the head of the tick is removed. It isn't a good idea to use tweezers or burn them as you could again get the contents of the Tick, and don't suffocate them with vasaline or similar.
Don't wait until you have a Tick before buy a set of removers click here and get it sorted, it has to be worth a fiver ? *tick*

If you aren't convinced have a squint through this website. *tick*

If you have been bitten see you Doctor especially if you see a red rash around the bite. *shocked*

I did have one on my sack, and to c ut a long story short I nicked it's head off while trying to shave round it to enable me to get the Otom tool onto it,and ended up down the doctors........she said "It isn't very big is it" to which I replied it's all I've got dear! Luckily nothing came of it,but you do have to be very careful!
