micro chipping; dogs

just booked both dogs in for micro chipping nxt week..at a cost of 15 quip per dog....has anyone else had thiers chipped..and does it really help iv they get nicked??
when the seagulls follow the trawler...it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea!!!!

Don't think it would help if they were nicked, would help if they were found though.

Don't take the pith
Got to be done really, if they escape its easy to get them back,,my two were done for a tenner each, they escaped and were locked up,,i found them through phone calls to police etc , when i picked them up the bloke tried to charge £70 and said it would be alot less if they were chipped,,i replied "they are chipped " his machine would not register the chip,but i tokk with me the papers for proof and he let me off for £50, took them both to the vets and the chips were NOT working on both terriers, so a week later had them redone for free,

So once a year take them in to scan and check the chip is working.
Treat every day as its the last,,,one day it will be !
