On the Boundary.......
|
Was my mate's lads 13th birthday and he was going clay shooting with his mate and his dad. They asked me to come along too. I have been very busy lately and hadn't had a shot since the end of the season. Anyhow, didn't shape badly at all. Took a load of old odds and ends cartridges to use up, including a box and a half of really rusty ones that had got damp and really ought to have been thrown away. Anyhow, they all went off ok, but the gun needed a proper clean after. The lads shaped well, showing the Dads up on a couple of stands. One particular stand the boys had both shot a pair each and I went up for a turn. Luckily, I got them as well. Then this other lads Dad goes up to the stand and misses with both barrels. A little voice from behind goes, "Awww Dad! You useless tw@t"!!!!! Me and Dr B were in tears laughing. A nice afternoon and good to be out, gun in hand again.
