Mrs Photopro is well into her gardening and grows lots of vegetables and fruits, for some reason this year the Crows have been giving them a pasting so I was commanded to do something about it (otherwise no leg-over ***no*** !!).
I caught the first calling bird without much bother unfortunately it was a Magpie and not Joe Crow and although the Crows are very curious even standing on top of the Larsen it's only Maggies I am catching - 4 so far. So unless I can persuade some Crows into the Larsen it looks like the old wrist problem is going to re-occur. *crying* *blush*

Is there something wrong with your air rifle?
Location :- Hull

Never hit a man with glasses. Hit him with a baseball bat!

Don't let your mind wander - it's too little to be let out alone!

No there isn't Nige but the Larsen is working when I'm not about however I suspect a dose of lead is going to be the only solution.

Well seven Magpies later I noticed a group of four crows often coming into the garden and picking food out of the Larsen if it was too close to the sides - cheeky or what ? So I placed food within reach for a couple of days then put a tasty piece of cheese directly on one of the split perches - within 24hrs I had my first of the four crows, this morning I had number two.

It was peeing down when number two got "taken out" so it didn't get photographed.

It is dead easy making a Larsen trap out of wood and rabbit mesh with plans on the interweb or a I did you can buy a weldmesh version, both work very well. If more people controlled Corvids we would see a lot more game and song birds.
