| It called itself inscription. The town on the edge. A nebulous place, built outside of time or reality and blanketed by white nothingness. Never the same twice, it shifted. It changed. Adapted. With a mind of its own, it built itself to the pleasures of its inhabitants. Or perhaps, to their torture. It brought them, through means unknown. Lives plucked from their own realities... and meddled with by ours. You can join us. Meddle with these lives. Pick anyone. Any fantasy. Any world. Dream someone new if it suits you. I thought it would be a cool idea if people could talk about who they were interested in playing and from what themes they would come from. That way, if some of us wanted to try and bring a group of characters in at the same time (like say, a group of "X-Men", ;)), we could. These aresome of the characters (and their themes) I'd like to play (Not ranked, just listed): #1: Alena Danya (Salusa) - X-Men OC #2: The Vision - Avengers #3: Jaina Solo - Star Wars Post-ROTJ #4: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Star Wars Pre-ROTS #5: (Classic '06) Optimus Prime - Transformers So what's everyone's top 5 (or 10 or 20, haha) characters they'd like to play? To make it easier on people, list Character Name - Theme I'll probably update with more as I think of more, but here are mine. What are yours? And we'll see if we have any themes in common! |

I've already applied for my first--Professor Layton. For those who don't know, he's the titular character of a video game series on the DS and 3DS. Largely, you're solving puzzles and brain teasers (you can try a free demo on your computer here). All the while, though, you're working to solve a grander mystery, with the main story bits fully voiced and animated. There was even a full-length animated movie as well, which is immensely enjoyable. I've put it below for your viewing pleasure. Layton himself is part Sherlock Holmes, part Indiana Jones, and 100% the English gentleman. I've always wanted to play him, but there was never in a million years going to be a Layton RPG. I'm super excited. ![]() My second character probably won't come for a while, but I'll probably want someone more... demented. These people have made the short list so far:
I quite like your choices, though. Salusa was a healer, no? That could come in handy. And I think the other Matt's been considering a Star Wars character, too, but I don't know if he's made his final decision yet. Edited by Jeremy, Jan 4 2013, 10:44 PM.

I'm thinking of dragging Remy over from Graymalkin (assuming his app didn't get wiped), but if not I think I'd have to pull someone from the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. Most of them vampires, all of them huge and scary looking. I was thinking either Wrath, blind King of the vampires, or his fellow warrior Rhage (who can become a dragon when you piss him off too badly, tgough it takes a lot out of him and he's more or less in constant fear of hurting those he loves). Or else maybe someone from Grimm, like Monroe. We'll see! |

The bio is there, but it was in the staff-only section. I PM'd it to you, though. ![]() I've never heard of Black Dagger Brotherhood, but I did like the few episodes of Grimm I saw. That's a series I've been meaning to catch up on. |

Yay-woot! How do I get pms here? As a guy I'm not so sure you'd like it---though it contains far more fighting and car-chases and monsters than the genre is usually known for, it is a paranormal romance seires and is thus rather....explicit. I really enjoy it though. Grimm is so awesome! How far have you seen? Do you know yet what happened to Juliette? |

Same as the old site. There's a link in the very top right corner of the page. As for Grimm, I saw only the first three or four episodes. Admittedly, I don't even remember who Juliette is. :p I kind of quickly fell behind though, so until they get it on Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime, I have no way of getting caught up. |

Hey, Matt. Carolyn applied for an old GML character, Drift, if you really wanted someone else from the same world. Not sure if Liam and Alena ever met, but it's something. :p P.S. While they're not from the same universe, I think Layton and Jean-Luc Picard would get along swimmingly. ![]() P.P.S. I'm becoming less convinced with Daisy Adair. As much as I like her, she doesn't seem particularly useful... Edited by Jeremy, Jan 8 2013, 01:56 PM.

Toad - X-men (I'm thinking about modifying his history a bit. Not much is really known about him.) He is what we DNDers call Chaotic Neutral. Secondary Characters Jinx - X-men OC Fletcher Creed - X-men OC (If Wolverine has a son he doesn't know about than I'm pretty sure Sabertooth has one two) |
