I think that people should be allowed to choose their own equipment in the regulations I've mentioned, only with historical reasons of course, and under the supervision of the RP Council.

If that is what the majority wants I have no problem with that.

- The Kalmar Union 32 yrs prior to ww1 snatched Nehekhara from Kathmandue, which would become one of the major causes for both wws.

- The Albertian era (1901-1910) stands out as a time of peace and plenty. There were no severe depressions, and prosperity was widespread. Kalmar's growth rate, manufacturing output and GDP (but not GDP per capita) fell behind its rivals, the United States of Topsailia and Grothbord, but the nation still led the world in trade, finance and shipping, and had strong bases in manufacturing and mining. The industrial sector was slow to adjust to global changes, and there was a striking preference for leisure over entrepreneurship among the elite. However, major achievements should be underlined. Lorchester was one of the financial centres of the world—far more efficient and wide-ranging than most other cities. Kalmar had built up a vast reserve of overseas credits in its formal Empire, as well as in its informal empire in other nations. It had huge financial holdings, especially in railways. These assets proved vital in paying for supplies in the first years of the World War. The amenities, especially in urban life, were accumulating—prosperity was highly visible. The working classes were beginning to protest politically for a greater voice in government, but the level of industrial unrest on economic issues was not high until about 1908

This is what i'm talking about. You alone decided that your land grab is a major reason for war and I see nothing but great things about your nations description. We can't have that, I think Thrace should've elaborated on this.
Describe your nations relation with your neighbors, a very veeerryy brief history on your nation, government type, leader/council.

- But this is how it was for the rl UK, I don't see what's the confusion considering I'm having the same government type as them? Also you must've missed the negative aspects of my nation that I've mentioned in the end. The government was during this era was run by a coalition of Liberals and Democrats.

- I was friendly with Thrace, Mapleston, Valyria, Swiss Euro etc. while maintaining hostile relations with Grothbord, Raventsvo and Kathmandue, neutral with Topsailia. That's how far I know when it comes to diplomatic relations.

During the World War I era, Krumland was still under a Tribal Federation government and slowly transitioning into a republic. The nation was experiencing an era of increased industrial production and the development of large towns and cities due to the rise of cheaper products and agriculture. Krumland was led by Itzel Maquinna, representative of the Krumi Liberal Party (KLP) from 1908 to 1915, when the Krumi Civil War began due to the Krumi First Party (KFP) leader Tecumseh Aylen and his opposing opinion about the transition to a Republic and the close relations with European powers. The Krumi Civil War was the bloodiest conflict in Krumlands history and the most destructive, lasting almost 5 years.

Krumland would have close relations with Midland South States and the Kaelmar Unionen while also remaining friendly with Grothbord and Raventsvo. They didn't have poor relations, due to being isolated from most developed nations, with any nations and would remain neutral.

This is the description of my nation at the start of the 20th century, I do hope this is enough of a description for now.
Have you praised our lord and saviory savior Malkbaconne today?

In the 20th century, Thrace was an expansionist empire, where the military had more and more influence both in the government and in the lives of the people. With the constitutional and liberal tendencies of the Renovato Imperii (1823) being long forgotten, the Empire had become more and more authoritarian, something that foreshadowed the rise to the power of the fascists that will happen in 1922.

Ever since it recovered from the Ruina Imperii (1790-1823), the main objectives of Thrace have been imperialist and revanchist. Thrace wanted to gain revenge against its main enemies, Kathmandue and Reismov/Ravenstvo, return completely to the status of a great power, recover its lost continental and colonial territories, and establish its hegemony over the Mediterranean and Black Seas. This has led to a militarization process, continuing the one started by Velisarius the Great in 1825, so, by the beginning of the century, Thrace was a huge military power, similar to the real life Imperial Germany. However, its military power and expansionism led to a diplomatic isolation of Thrace, making it be pretty alone on the European continent, and surrounded by hostile powers. Friendly relations existed with the Kaelmar Union, an old friend of Thrace(was in a personal union with the Thracian Crown from 1588 to 1730, and it was now led by a cadet branch of the Thracian Verayne Imperial Family), and with Mapleston, a former colony of the Dual Empire. The Thracian diplomacy was focused against Kathmandue and Ravenstvo, so many other states probably had good relations with Thrace. Poor relations existed with Topsaila due to the tensions over Haevia/Hevio, a (former) Thracian colony that was in fact a Thracian puppet state in the North America.

Economically, Thrace was also doing pretty good, industrialized, but the orientation of the industry towards war was a mistake. This orientation will indirectly cause an economic crisis for Thrace after WW1 ended(1922-1929), and Thrace also didn't have the industrial power to last in a world war for so many years.

Thrace was led by a theoretically constitutional monarch, that however, just like in modern day Thrace, enjoyed extensive authoritarian powers. Emperor Caelius I(1888-1916)Verayne ruled the country with an iron fist, but was much less regarded than his predecesor, Valens I Verayne( -1888), who had really expanded the Thracian influence, and took back the Crimea Peninsula in the short Thracian involvement in the civil war of Reismov. The military had a strong presence, with many top ranking military officers having a strong influence. The Imperial Army, the Imperial Fleet, and the newly created Imperial Air Service were often competing for funds and attention.

Something like that. The effective spark of WW1 could also be a duel between the Thracian First Prince and someone else, leading the death of the First Prince.

So, the war would start in 1939. By end 1940 all opposition in the West would have have to be swept, Thrace would gain naval dominance in the western Mediterranean, and in the Atlantic, with the help of the KU Navy, the Imperial Navy would deal a huge defeat on Topsail's navy, combined with some stuff happening Haeveria. In 1941, Thrace would attack Ravenstsvo, pushing forward, at this point, Thrace would be at its height, unbeatable, unstoppable.

In 1942 things started to break, winter slowed down the Thracian advance, leaving Raven time to recover, in the most crucial and one of the largest naval battles in the war, in the Atlantic, the Imperial Fleet and the navy of the KU and possibly Mapleston suffer a great defeat against the Allied navies. End 1942 Raven wins his first big victories, stalling the Thracian advance. Nekehara is lost, first, mostly unsuccessful, Allied air raids against Thrace begin.

1943, Thrace mobilizes its forces on the Eastern front, and loses. Ravenstvo gains the initiative, some more big naval battles are lost, rebels start to stir up in the west. End 1943, the allies launch an amphibious naval operation in Kathmandue and one in Thrace, the one in Kath succeeded, but in Thrace, the allies are thrown back into the sea.

1944, mass air raids start into Thrace, the Imperial Air Force puts up quite a fight, enemies approach from all points. Summer 1944, a coup d'etat organized by Prince Michael brings down the main fascist government, the Thracian Transition Government is created. An unofficial armistice is signed with the West in fall, and Thrace focuses its forces on the Eastern front. December 1944, Operation Autumn Mist,Battle of the Bulge style, Ravenstvo's forces are defeated and thrown away from Thrace's modern borders, but Thrace simply doesn't have the resources to push forward anymore, so Raven remains with the future TDR. Early 1945, armistice is signed, the war in Europe ends.

If you're in the map, it's obvious that you will be more or less involved, since you're in Europe, and we're trying to encourage people to join the war too.

From what you say, should I assume that you will be opposing/be conquered by the autocratic alliance that conquers most of Europe until 1943?

According to the new updated map, since I'm too far away to annex Topsail's islands, a seaborne and/or air invasion of Boutain is more plausible instead.

Also, I think so far these are the nations on each side:

Autocratic Alliance: KU, Thrace, Mapleston, Valyria, Ichoria, Timberwolves, Othelos
"Allies": Kathmandue, Grothbord, Raventsvo, Hijjma, Topsail, Crumstain

At the beginning of the Twentieth Century, Pallamara was starting to hit its stride, as the effects of the reforms implemented by Grand Duchess Esmee, began to take hold, and decades long attempts at industrialization, were finally starting to pay off, and the economy started to generally boom. Along with this new prosperity, came more feelings of nationalism and patriotism, but also a growing wariness of the of the other great powers. As a small wealthy nation, there was concern that Pallamara might well be seen as a prize by one of the larger, more aggressive powers, particularly with its mostly European population, and so began a debate about an alliance with a larger nation, though concerns and fears about where such an arrangement could lead tended to mire such discussions down.

The easiest way to keep from becoming a client state, was seen as a strong military, or at least one relative to the size of the nation, though this was something easier said than done. The army was comprised of the Ducal Guard, a few regiments of which represented the only standing military cadre, and around 80,000 part time reservists. Though attempts had been made to reorganize the army into a canton system, this had only been partially done, due to more focus on other things. Probably the strongest part of the army was the Coastal Artillery, consisting of a number of forts and gun emplacements protecting ports, harbors and potential landing areas. Most of these were relatively modern, with construction proceeding steadily from the 1880s, the most favored being heavy guns in "disappearing mounts" which were particularly hard to hit. While both the field and coastal artillery were modern, other arms were less so. The Ducal guard were carrying modern Schmidt Rubin M1896 rifles, which were being made under license, but most of the reserves were still armed with single shot Gras Rifles. Modern Maxim type machine guns did exist, but were rather few in number, and doctrine in how to use them was lagging behind. While a number of further reforms were planned, the biggest problem had yet to be addressed, and that was the Landsweer was still primarily a home defense force, with little planning to be used as an actual expeditionary unit.

The navy, the Staatszeemacht, was likewise a mixed bag. Great attention had been placed on coastal defense, along with torpedo and mine warfare, as these were seen as the best deterrent against larger navies, but the actual ocean going navy consisted of but a few steam corvettes and gunboats, and a couple of relatively modern cruisers, whose duties were diplomatic than military in nature. A through modernization plan was needed, but as some senior Staatszeemacht figures pointed out, too rapid of an expansion would likely result in a large, poorly trained force, so a more gradual build up was needed. In 1902, the first naval bill was passed to begin the modernization of the navy. Around this time, attention also began to be paid to the newly emerging submarine, or "submersible torpedo boat."

With regard to domestic production, it had been a long standing goal of the nation to become self sufficient in armaments, and progress here since the middle part of the last century had been impressive, with two government arsenals capable of meeting small arms production, and a single major arms works capable of producing artillery up to to 10in. Pallamara was particularly blessed with shipyards, possessing a healthy shipbuilding industry for the last couple of hundred years. The major issue however, was that while domestic arms manufacture was sufficient for peacetime needs, any extended conflict would see the nation hard pressed to keep up with the demands, particularly for ammunition.
