All I wanted to say is that your attitude can become annoying, and that it would be for the best if you would stop dismissing people's opinions when you have no right to do so. |

I'm not sure if my timeline is that important in European history, but I'll put it here anyway (I believe Tiandao has its share in discussing first Europe-East Asia contacts, a sort of Opium War that inspires the end of Emperors, and modern history afterwards). Since ancient history isn't that important (other than the Silk Road? Nothing that much important before the 17th century), I'll start with the 17th century: 1332 - 1774: The Empire of Greater Qin, with similarities to the real-life Ming Dynasty, rules over the northern half of Tiandao and other territories at its greatest extent. For much of its time, it would be the premier political and cultural center of East Asia, leading a regional 'Pax Qinica'. The Empire of Greater Qin focuses on not only war with the northern and western nomadic tribes but also expansion throughout the seas, resulting in a rivalry in naval power against the city-states in southern Tiandao and Penania. 1774-1866: City-states in southern Tiandao congregate in Nanhai City, creating the United Federation of Tiandao, forming the first-ever federal republic in East Asia. Although economically maintaining a trading relationship, the Empire of Greater Qin and the United Federation of Tiandao were political rivals, each attempting dominance upon all of Tiandao. Having its roots on the economically and financially advantaged city-states along southern Tiandao, the United Federation of Tiandao is quicker in accepting the products of western civilization, eventually gaining a technological edge over the Empire to the north. 1866-1867: European powers commence a war against the United Federation of Tiandao and the Empire of Greater Qin, at an attempt to take over the affluent city-states of the Federation and open up trade in the Empire. Although they are (barely) defeated by a collective effort between the Federation and the Empire, the war acts as a motivator in the Empire of Greater Qin abolishing its policy of seclusion and commence westernization. 1868-1877: Resulting in a state of 'Enlightenment' among the Tianese populace, such attempts of westernization resulted in the Tianese Revolution, resulting in the end of the Empire of Greater Qin in 1869. While the remnants of the Empire plunged into a civil war, the United Federation of Tiandao seized the opportunity and unified Tiandao through force during the Great Northern Expedition (1870-1876), eventually resulting in the Greater Eastern Union of Tiandao being declared in 1877. 1877 - 1914: Although a rather 'late' colonial power, the Greater Eastern Union successfully establishes a number of colonies throughout Asia, exerting considerable influence over the region and keeping European colonial powers at bay. 1914-1918: Tiandao does not see great activity in World War 1, resulting in the minimization of war in East Asia. Instead, Tiandao benefits greatly from trading with both sides of the war, while also becoming one of the places of negotiation (kinda like what America became for the Russo-Japanese War of 1905). 1918-1939: Inter-war period. 1939-1945: World War 2. Tiandao stays out of the war until August 1940, when Tiandao is attacked by either one of the sides (this is to be decided). Afterwards, a war similar to the Pacific War rages over the seas and islands, although it results in a general stalemate by 1945. 1945-1990: During the Cold War, Tiandao remains capitalist and anti-communist, making relations between the nation and communist states in the vicinity salty. |

Possible. As I've said before, Thrace would probably act as the Byzantine Empire acted in real life and will be the final Western point of the Silk Road. |

I see. Any other possible relations that will be formed between our two nations before the World Wars (namely WW2, since by then, I would either be your enemy or your ally, as soon as I find out the belligerents and what they fought for, basically)? |

If you joined Thrace's and my "Autocratic Alliance", the strengthened relations could've had its origins from KU involvement in Enlightenment Wars (1868-1877), aiding the United Federation of Tiandao uniting the realm under its banner. |

Thrace had a colonial empire, so contact could have been possible. The earliest contact could have been during the Veranian Empire, when two Veranian monks would visit you, and would steal some silkworm eggs and bring them back to Veranium. To mirror the Byzantine Empire a little. As of the world wars, we have two alliances, and while I am naming my alliance the Autocratic Alliance, not all of its members are Autocratic, and we don't exactly mirror the Axis, just as the Allies don't exactly mirror the Allies. |

I presume that Thrace would have its own trading company like everyone else? |

Trading Companies, yes. But in general, Thrace's focus wasn't necessarily on trade, so the trading companies were subordinated to the Viceroyalties. |

So, let's start from the beginning. Antiquity. How were your nations in that period? And, because we need to start from somewhere, we need to discuss our Roman Empire. The Elysian Empire. My proposal, is to have it begin, at least methodologically, similarly to Rome. Two possible founders, brothers, have a contest to create a new city. But instead of our Romulus killing our Remus, Remus runs away, and creates another city somewhere in the East.. So we have Elysia and another city, who are practically inhabited by related people, who grow in power and each form their own empires, until it comes to war, and Elysia wins. Elysia grows to rule over a large part of our Europe and Africa. We have some nice civil wars, and four Hegemons are put into place, to rule in the name of the Emperor. One in the north, one in the south, one in the West, and one in the East. Then, in the Calamity of Elysia, the city is destroyed by volcanic eruptions and a tsunami, killing everyone inside it. The peninsula on which Elysia was partially sinks into the sea, and Elysia is lost. With the sudden and violent collapse of Elysia, its empire is thrown into chaos. In the East, Hegemon Zeno, who rules from the city of Veranium, marries the daughter of the last Elysian Emperor, moves the capital to Veranium, and proclaims to be the direct successor of Elysia, hereby creating the Veranian Empire. Europe soon collapses into chaos, as barbarians invade from everywhere. The end of Antiquity, and the beginning of the Middle Ages. |

So, you were conquered by the Elysian Empire in 43 AD, and after the collapse of Elysia and the Calamity, you were independent for a while, before being overrun by Saxons? |

Well yes; the Saxons never managed to conquer Ireland, Scotland and Wales though, which is why the Latinized languages there survived. FUKIN BARBARIAN SCUM €&€&%€%! Edited by Kalmar Union, 18 Aug 2016, 13:34.
