If you're reading this then you have been chosen to represent your Forum/Fansite for your Artist. Our mission: To create a network of communities which will give exposure to other fanbases as well as sharing new artists to other fans. The main way we'll go about this is simple. This forum will be used as the platform rather than full content. The content will come from contributors of this network. Contributors could be anyone from their home site who will post at their own will. Each contributor will have access and permissions to post things such as news, updates, stories, etc. related to their artist/band. Since posting is at free-will, updating regularly will be of your own benefit. Hopefully in this process viewers of the main forum will learn more about new J-music and become an active member of the specific artist forum. |

Continuing off of what Derek said, As Japanese Music International (J-MINT), we hope to unite all of our international online communities. While our preferences for favorite artist/band/group differ, we're all the same in that we are all fans of Japanese music and that many of our communities' members enjoy music from the artists/bands/groups we represent and more. The problem is that we can only keep up with so many websites at a time. It's impossible for a single person to be active in the international communities of every single artist/band/group that he or she likes. So, instead, why don't we just combine all our sites' content into one news site? That way all the members on all our websites can visit this collaborative news website and check out the latest news on ALL their favorite artists/bands/groups and MORE. How exactly will this work? Basically, each affiliated website will have three representatives: the main administrator and two members of their choice, preferably two members who are responsible for posting news for their site. Each affiliated website's representatives would be responsible for feeding the J-MINT website front end (most likely a Wordpress site) with their website's and designated artist's latest news and updates. Each news post would link back to the affiliated website. The viewers would be taken to the affiliate website to read the news content. J-MINT's viewers would be seeing news and updates from their favorite artists/bands/groups as well as other artists/bands/groups that they may have never listened to. So, if they were to see news posts about said artist/band/group on a daily basis, then there's a chance they may become more interested in listening to the said artist/band/group and possibly join the affiliate website's community to learn more about them. J-MINT doesn't require any extra writing since it totally relies on each affiliate website's news content. All it requires is representatives from each website to post them to J-MINT. So, if we all can work as a team to develop and promote J-MINT, then we will all finally be united. Edited by rsniteblaze, Aug 29 2012, 07:30 AM.
