Eight months after Cory Schneider was traded away, goaltender Roberto Luongo finds himself in another awkward situation with the Vancouver Canucks. Luongo will not get the start when the Canucks host the Ottawa Senators in the Heritage Classic at BC Place Stadium on Sunday. "I dont want to start going through this whole thing again," said Luongo, who has yet to start for the Canucks since returning from the Olympics. "Ive always wanted to play in an outdoor game so I was excited when I saw that we got one this year. I was looking forward to it." "I believe Roberto Luongo feels this is somewhat of a slap in the face," said TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger. "Almost a year ago, he fought hard to get out of the Canucks organization and hoped for the same in the summer and that didnt materialize. You have to think this is going to amplify the hard feelings that may continue to exist between Luongo and the coaching staff and by extension, the management of the Canucks." Eddie Lack, who has started both Canucks games since the Olympic break, has allowed just one goal in a shutout win over the St. Louis Blues and a shootout loss to the Minnesota Wild. "You also have to look at it from the prespective of head coach John Tortorella," added Dreger. "He doesnt care about the spectacle of the Heritage Classic, he cares about the two points on the line. Eddie Lack has been lights out good for the Canucks in the past couple of games. This is not a popular decision and I predict that this going to add to why this relationship between the player and the organization wont end well." "VAN obviously went into this eyes wide open and believes upside of Lack starting over Luongo outweighs downside of accompanying controversy," said TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie on Twitter (@TSNBobMcKenzie). "I dont believe for a moment this decision to start Lack is related to any imminent Luongo trade possibility." wholesale nfl jerseys. A once dominant unit that finished second best in the league in 2013 (87.9%) has fallen to 20th overall (79.4%) after two months this winter. The groups increasing woes were highlighted on Wednesday night by a season-high three-goal outburst from the Penguins power play in an eventual 6-5 shootout loss. cheap nfl jerseys. Despite nearing official elimination, the Oilers still slammed the Predators, 6-3, in Tuesdays game at Nashville. Ales Hemsky recorded his first career hat trick to lift the Oilers to the easy win at Bridgestone Arena. http://www.nfljerseyschinawholesalecheap.com/. Young drove in a total of four runs for the D-Backs, who also got a three-run homer from Ryan Roberts. Stephen Drew went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Joe Saunders lasted just three innings, allowing five runs -- four earned -- on six hits. nfl jerseys china wholesale. Joe Johnson, Marcus Thornton, and Mason Plumlee each added 10 points for the Nets, who snapped a six-game losing streak in Denver. The Nets hadnt won in the Mile High City since a 112-102 victory on Jan. ROTTERDAM, Netherlands -- Roger Federer dismissed third-seeded Juan Martin del Potro 6-1, 6-4 Sunday to win the ABN Amro World Tennis for his first title of the year. The top-seeded Federer jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first set as Del Potro made an uncharacteristically error-prone start. The Argentine, who beat Federer in the 2009 U.S. Open final, took a 2-1 lead in the second set before the Swiss star won five of the next seven games to close out the match. "For me it all began in 1999 when I reached the quarter-finals here," Federer said. "Even now, the expectations were high throughout the tournament. I am happy I was able to fulfil the expectationns.ddddddddddddquot; Federer, who made his first appearance in Rotterdam since winning the 2005 title, saved all seven break points he faced in the match, while breaking Del Potro three times. Del Potro, who played in the tournament for the first time, won just seven points on his serve in the first set. While his game improved in the second, he couldnt find a way to beat Federer on the key points. The former top-ranked Swiss took a 4-2 lead before serving out the match to claim his 71st career title. "I have managed to restore my rhythm," said Federer. "The match against Davydenko was a good warmup for the match against Del Potro." ' ' '
