I've seen a lot of "This is happening and please help" questions on here. Nobody can help you without the proper information. Some issues may be easily solvable but the overwhelming majority of bugs that appear will probably be either specific to your machine, or your collection of machines (Windows, Mac, Linux etc). To keep this simple, ask yourself the following questions before posting: Question 1 Does your question accurately explain what is going on? Example: None of my modification files are loading. When I attempt to change skins, nothing is appearing and everybody else's character is appearing as Kyle Katarn. Question 2 Have you detailed your attempts to fix this situation? Example: I have ensured that all of my .PK3 files at in my GameData/base folder. I have also moved them out of there., ran the game without mods, and put them back in. Finally, I removed several of the mods and added a couple, to check that it wasn't a memory issue or a single mod that is preventing loading of all of them. Question 3 Have you provided evidence, along with technical details of the problem? Example: Attached is a screenshot of an error message I received. The error message says "Error loading .PK3 Files due to corrupt .PK3 file". I have also attached a screenshot of the logs that are printed out during program load. If you answer all of these questions with "Yes", you will get an answer to your question a lot faster because one of us can pick it up and we have a much clearer idea of what is going on with your system. Like I said, a lot of problems will be specific to your machine, unless it is one of the rare cases where there is a systematic issue with the software we're using. |
