Article I
Leadership:
The Jedi Council shall be composed of a maximum of twelve Jedi Knights or Jedi Masters and there may be no less than four Jedi councillors. Jedi Knights or Masters shall be elected to the Jedi Council by incumbent Jedi councillors. The Jedi Council shall be subservient to the High Council on Coruscant and its directive. Changes in the Jedi Order's political system can only take place by referendum of the Jedi Council, addendums made by a two thirds majority vote. The Jedi Council shall be responsible for all lessons, missions, trials, battle plans, negotiations and the general administration and oversight of the Jedi Order. All members of the Jedi Order, including non-councillor Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters, shall be subservient to the will of the Jedi Council or face the possibility of exile.

Article II
Ranks:
The ranks of the Jedi Order shall be as follows: Jedi Initiate; Jedi Padawan; Jedi Knight; Jedi Master. All members of the Jedi Order shall act in accordance with this ranking system and no rank outside it shall be permissible. Exceptions to this rule may come into being by approval of the Jedi High Council or the mandate of the Republic Senate. Special ranks afforded to council members e.g. archivist or secretary may only be used with the agreement of the High Council.

Article III
Advancement:
The Jedi Order shall mandate apprentice tournaments at the end of each week for Jedi hopefuls to compete in and schedule classes to teach them the core tenets of the Jedi. At the end of one week, a Jedi Initiate will be eligible to become a Padawan learner. Jedi Padawans shall undertake a series of Trials by which they will prove themselves worthy Jedi Knights. At the end of one month, a Jedi Padawan may be presented before the Council and a knighting ceremony conducted. In order to become a Jedi Master, a Jedi Knight must complete an extraordinary feat whether that be training a Padawan to Knighthood or mastering a very difficult situation.

Article IV
Attachment and Apparel:
Jedi of the Order shall be allowed to enter into romantic relationships. Initiates may not. Relationships of this kind between Master and Padawan may be subject to the Council's approval. Jedi shall be expected to adhere to guidelines recommending minimal traditional attire and the customary Lightsaber hilt. The apparel of the Jedi shall illustrate to the denizens of the galaxy that they live a life free from the trappings of bon vivant attachment.

Article V
Leaving and Death:
If a Jedi leaves the Jedi Order, they shall have their membership removed from the roster and any responsibilites and titles they had shall be rendered moot. If they eventually decide that they want to return, they will meet with the Jedi Council and come to a decision on a case by case basis.
Jedi of the Order who are killed or pass away shall have a formal cremation ceremony in their honour, organized by the Jedi Council. The deceased Jedi and their worldly possessions shall be burned on the pyre.

Article VI
Amendments to the Constitution:
Amendments to the Constitution of the Order shall only be made by a two thirds majority vote and require a majority of the Jedi Council to be present.
