Despite being the dead of winter in the northern hemisphere, all was not gloom in Demoness. The season was called Second Summer and was indeed more like its counterpart than an opposite. The weather was warmer and slightly humid, though the latter was due to the shower was predicted to visit Sacred Rock later that evening. For the time being, the weather was overcast as Ned Davion descended into the airport. He would soon be followed by Gavrila de Sud, but he was not quite aware of that fact yet.

Visits between Fenwick and Demoness had become more than routine, with the prince representing his country more often than his father, and they had lost all their formality; a simple phone call announced his arrival and a car would meet him at the airport with little fanfare. He was admitted to the Plateau and after a little witty banter with the Guardian of the Gateway, an ex-girlfriend, he was led into Jia Li's private solar.

Though technically a solar, it was more specifically a library and Jia Li lounged with her legs across her husband's lap; a chitael, either Nemesis or Aphrodite, lay in hers. She propped up a book on her chitael's head, reading happily while her husband reviewed something on a tablet. She looked up as Ned entered and smiled. "Hey, Ned-mitsu," she greeted. "I'd stand but..." She indicated the hundred pound animal purring on her lap. "When did you get in?"

"Your only water border is an inland sea, isn't it?" Ned asked.

Gavrila turned back to the reef exhibit, though she was still paying attention to Ned. "Da," she said, nodding, "But you also got a bunch of rivers and lakes. Especially rivers."

Adiwyn reappeared quietly, only catching attention as she bowed. "Pardon me. When you are ready we can depart," she said.

Ned nodded his agreement. "There are certainly some very nice things to observe in the aquarium," he stated, though it wasn't clear if he was solely talking about the exhibits.

Gavrila caught onto the Prince's meaning and grinned, nodding her head in agreement. "Oh, definitely" she said, stepping towards Ned, "Zough perhaps zere are some zings elsewhere, too."

Aurel smiled a little at the Knezinja, shaking his head and chuckling quietly. "Subtil ca un ciocan," his voice so faint that only someone right next to him could hear what he was saying.

Gavrila grinned as she hooked her arm with Ned's. "Zat sounds like a plan to me," she said, then looked to Adiwyn, "Lead ze way."

Adiwyn nodded obediently and quietly led them through the park. Again, the crowds were thinner around them as they passed. It was a bright, sunny day, and misters turned on as the weather warmed up. The group met up with a young man that was introduced as Caomhán, who bowed respectfully before leading them back into the private area.

The tank he led them to was a bit small and held two dolphins, whose names were Iyana and Esai. He explained briefly about dolphin society and behavior before waiting for questions.
