Feoras is a land of great beauty and great sorrow. In ancient times, the isolated island was its own world, warring, celebrating, and living by its own rules. Its first contact with the outside world was violent, but it resulted in the assimilation of the invader culture into its own. However, this would not be the trend and the next encounter ended with Feoras being the assimilated party. For centuries, it was subjugated by Demonessian masters until the modern age brought with it change: enormous destruction, followed by brief freedom and then patronizing stewardship. The island suffered from poverty, but there was still beauty to be found. While its five remaining ethnicities live in an enforced peace, the tourist areas benefit from the economic boon and generate a false sense of wealth. Tourists are attracted by Mauna Inaka, the volcanic center of the island, and the black sand beaches she generated. The gentle slope of the continental shelf allows swimmers to wade into a seemingly endless sea and walk up to boats parked in the shallows. Its coral reefs are untouched in certain parts of the island and the fauna found there are unmatched. With the economy centered around the tourism trade, it is hard to leave the main areas. However, the adventurous tourist may find other ways to pass the time. The Genfiotes in the south control the tourism areas, making sure they are clean and presentable, as do their neighbors in Ahi'iana. The Genfiotes, however, present a curiosity: their religious leaders, known as the Undying. These leaders dress entirely in grey and cover their faces with a mask and veil. When they speak, they speak as if they are not an individual; they speak as if they are from a collective consciousness, which can be unnerving for some. In Fuwoku, one can find the farmers, who toil away in the dirt and respect animals as much as humans. For the adventurous, there is Kain, a land of warriors where the leader is determined through battle prowess. While Mpali represents the industrialized portion of the island, Isis certainly fairs the best as the seat of the former colonial masters. Humanitarians may seek to provide relief from poverty and criminals may find a new foothold, but tourists, explorers, and travelers may find adventure. |

The talent of Andrei's serve certainly set the tone. If he had fumbled, they would have probably continued to be easy, but some of the more competitive men decided that it was time to be serious. All in all, it was a normal game with bad calls, questionable tactics, and good players, and it went quickly. While an argument broke out between Femion and the woman who had spoken earlier, it was resolved promptly, almost as if it didn't occur. They played another game - to settle personal scores - and then the group started to break up. Femion and Ankon wanted to go drinking at the seaside bar and invited the woman, whom the Cetatsens eventually learned was Olia with a hot tempter. Another group decided that it was time to head down the beach and start a campfire, despite it still being before sunset, and Kakia said she was going to head to dinner. It also seemed that the Feorasans were quite friendly as Andrei and Vlad had an open invitation to join any of the three of them. |

By the end of the game both Andrei and Vlad were sweating, though Andrei's was more from the heat of the tropical sun, and Vlad was panting as well. Physical activities were not something he did on a daily basis, though it was evident from his grin that he was enjoying himself despite his lackluster performance. "Well, these people are awfully friendly," Vlad said in Cetatsenian, draping an arm around his twin's shoulder, "So, where do you want to go? Campfire or Kakia?" "What if I wanted to go to the bar?" Andrei replied, raising an eyebrow. Vlad scoffed, "Oh please, I've lived with you for over 3 decades. You don't like to go out drinking." "True enough," Andrei replied with a shrug, "And you know what, I'm kind of hungry." "So, Kakia it is then," Vlad said, grinning, "You know, I wonder what your wife would say if she knew you were going to eat dinner with an attractive Feorasan." "Nothing, because my wife isn't clingy and jealous, and it's just a friendly meal," Andrei said, "And besides, you're coming too." "Oh, am I?" "Were you planning on heading down to the campfire? It's not even dark yet." "Nah, I'm just messing with you," Vlad replied with a smile, "I'll go and eat with you two." The two made their way towards Kakia, Andrei's expression still stoic while Vlad was grinning and waving. "Hey, me and my brozer were getting hungry, so we zought we might join you," he said, "So what exactly are some good places to eat around here? I cannot wait to try some of ze local food." |

Kakia turned around. "That depends on what you would like. However, if you do not like fish I am afraid you came to the wrong place," she replied with a teasing grin. "What sort of tastes do you want to try? There is a local restaurant called Waimea that serves most of the local cuisines." |

"I want to try everyzing, zough not necessarily all at once," Vlad said with a grin, then glanced over at Andrei, "I am not our cousin after all." Their inside joke about Gavrila's eating habits made Andrei chuckle. Then he looked to Kakia, "Well I am certain zat we boz like fish, so Waimea sounds fine." "I love fish, zough I cannot wait to try ze food here," Vlad added, "It is probably far different from ze fish in Cetatsenia." |

Kakia nodded. "Yes. We have a lot of what you would call 'tropical' fish rather than the freshwater fish you are probably used to and it is more of a staple of our diet than, say, beef or chicken. So instead of having a beef-based soup, it would likely be fish-based." She smiled. "But each fish tastes different, so you can change the taste of the dish as well by changing the fish. We also use a lot of fruits and roots in our dishes." She smirked. "And it all washes down well with okolehao," she added. Okolehao was a local fermented drink derived from a root and it was closest to beer. |

"Yes, most of ze fish in Cetatsen food are from our rivers and lakes. I cannot wait to try what zis land has to offer," Vlad said, still smiling as the group walked. He was also taking in the sights of the foreign country, though he didn't miss a beat in the conversation either. He found the tropical scenery to be lovely, and it showed on his face and in his good mood. "So, Kakia, are you from around here?" Andrei asked, figuring it prudent to make small talk. After all, they were going to eat dinner with this woman, so they should probably know more than her name. |

"'Ae," Kakia replied, nodding toward a section in the east. "My family owns a summer home in the 'Aahinahina District." Her smile widened. "Though it's hardly a 'summer home' when it's the same temperature year round." She tilted her head. "How are the two of you holding up? I find that visitors have an issue with the humidity, at least at first." |

"Well, it is razer unpleasant. Back at home it can get hot and humid in ze summertime, but it is not like zis," Vlad replied, smiling, "But it comes wiz ze territory of being in ze tropics. And I chose to come here, and so I can hardly complain, can I? And besides, from ze little of ze island I have seen it more zan makes up for ze weazer." "I would be lying if I said zat I did not care at all, but I have been in worse conditions," Andrei said, "Much better to be here zan at ze top of a frozen mountaintop." |

Kakia grinned. "I have heard a few visitors complain that the humidity is bad for their hair or good for their skin, so maybe you will have one or the other," she replied. She hadn't bothered to cover up more since leaving the beach, though she had reclaimed a pair of sandals, which appeared to have been an import brand and were not well-used. The streets were crowded with vendors, entertainers, other visitors, and most likely pickpockets. It was late in the afternoon and it did not appear that the Demonessian habit of napping was widespread, though the crowd was a little thinner than it had been earlier in the day. She weaved through vendors peddling food, souvenirs, and maps and disappeared around a corner. She reappeared a moment later with a smile on her face. "You must walk quicker. If you don't make eye contact with the vendors, they won't bother you," she teased. She turned her head forward again. "Waimea is at the end of this street. There will be a short wait, but I can see if they can get us in now. My cousin knows the owner." |

"Well I can say, wizout a doubt in my mind, zat Andrei will not have to worry about his hair," Vlad joked, "And we do not mind a little wait." "We are used to it," Andrei said, and he meant it. None of Cetatsenia's Princes and Princesses (and the Voivode) were particularly fond of using their status for trivial things. Though some of them did indulge in on occasion, and if someone happened to offer them something out of respect Octavian and Gavril were the only ones who would outright refuse. But they were no strangers to waiting in line. |
